Knights of Old recently exhibitedat Multimodal, which is the UKand Ireland's leading freight
transport and logistics exhibitionwhich took place atthe NEC, Birmingham.The exhibition, whichsaw over 7000 visitorsfrom the industry,provided Knights ofOld with an idealplatform to promoteits services amongstpeers and potentialclients.
With a brand new standand corporate video, thecompany was focusedon displaying its professionalism andcapabilities through a range of customercase studies.
Mike Bacon, Group Director, Knights ofOld said: “How your stand looks is soimportant to the success of the show. Youhave to look professional, capable and
approachable all inone go and we arereally happy withhow the exhibitionwent for us.Feedback fromexisting andpotential clients hasbeen very positiveand the calibre ofenquiries that wetook is very high.”

and European shows in a bid to continueraising the profile of the Knights of OldGroup.

Air ambulanceis chosencharity forfamily fun dayKnights of Old and Truckeast aresupporting Air Ambulance through araffle at the family fun day and aim toraise at least £5,000.
The money raised will help support TheAir Ambulance Service (TAAS). The AirAmbulance Service is the umbrellaorganisation across 3 separateservices; Warwickshire andNorthamptonshire Air Ambulance(WNAA), Derbyshire, Leicestershire andRutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA), bothlocal emergency rescue services, andthe Children’s Air Ambulance, a nationalemergency transfer service for criticallyill children and babies.
Each rescue mission costs an averageof £1,700 and the charity receives noGovernment funding at all, relyingentirely on charitable donations. Yoursupport will help keep these life-savingservices in the air.

Knights of Old Group has beendriving its apprenticeshipscheme forward in the past 12
months by recruiting talented localyoungsters. We are delighted to haverecently seen two of our apprenticespresented with their NVQ certificatesand look forward to seeing themprogress in their roles here. As a large local employer, we have animportant role to play within our
community. As well as helping the localeconomy we feel it’s important toencourage youngsters to engage withthe transport and logistics industry. Wehope to encourage the next generationto consider a career in our sector.
We will also be looking to raise theprofile of the company through a seriesof trade shows, following the success ofMultimodal at the NEC. Brand
awareness is veryimportant if we are toattract new, qualitycustomers.

Training the staff of tomorrow
Agroup of lucky schoolchildrenenjoyed some monster funwhen Knights of Old launched a
stunning new addition to its trailer fleetduring a visit to Laxton Junior Schoolin Oundle, Northamptonshire.
The eye-catching trailer, which is now inservice, features Beast Quest, abestselling series of children's fantasynovels from Orchard Books.
The launch certainly proved a hit with theschoolchildren. Mark Potter, theheadmaster of Laxton Junior School, said:'Knights of Old were kind enough to bringSir Galahad, also known as The BeastQuest truck by our little ones, to the schooland caused great excitement for all of ourinfant children. This was a terrific way tobring our EYFS children's learning aboutTransport to life.
Each child got to climb into the cab andthey thoroughly enjoyed the chance topretend to be a truck driver for a while.The children also got to see how thetruck's tail-lift worked and Lee, the drivertrainer for Knights of Old, and Paul,Sir Galahad's driver, explained howdeliveries were taken into and out
of the back of the truck.
One of our Reception children was soenthused by his time in the cab that he
informed me he wants to be a truck driverwhen he grows up. Another was verypleased that there was a telephone in thedriver's cab so that he would be able to

Knights of Old is a passionatesupporter of apprenticeschemes because it knows that
training the staff of tomorrow is the keyto continued success in a highlycompetitive industry.
To make sure that it recruits only the bestcandidates, Knights of Old has joinedforces with Starting Off, a local recruitmentand training company which hasbeen finding jobs for Northamptonshire'syoung people and organising their trainingprogrammes for 25 years.
Nick Bithell, Knights of Old's HR Manager,is full of praise for the way the partnershiphas paid dividends. He said: "We have
worked with Starting Off on therecruitment of trainees and more recentlyapprentices for seven years. During thistime we have found that their staff haveconsistently understood our businessneeds and have supplied very strongcandidates, most of which are still with thecompany”.
