Eight other contestants join Glover and Harrison on this 30 show concert tour starting in July. The contestants include Amber Miller, Burnell Taylor, Curtis Finch Jr., Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Lazaro Arbos, Paul Jolley and fans’ pick, Aubrey Cleland. On the last episode of American Idol, this group performed their rendition of “I’m Glad You Came” as a taste of the upcoming tour.

The show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets may be purchased through the KFC Yum! Center for $33.50, $46, or $66. Prices include facility fees and $1 is donated to the Melanoma Research Alliance. For group rates, visit www.kentuckycenter.org/grouptickets.

Selena Gomez: Stars Dance

On October 23rd, Selena Gomez brings her world tour to Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center. The tour, which begins in August, is to launch her new album, Stars Dance.

Gomez’s career began on TV. She is no longer that kid on Barney and Friends, and found stardom through her role as Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney channel. Ramona and Beezus, released in 2010, was her fi lm debut. She stared in several other movies, with her latest roles in Spring Breakers and as a voice actress in Hotel Transylvania.

Now, Gomez is back to music entertainment. Her former band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, produced platinum singles, “Naturally,” “Who Says,” and “Love You like a Love Song.” Moving on from her band, her new album is released July 23rd this summer. Stars Dance includes her latest hit, “Come and Get it.”

This 20 year old gives more than just her music and acting talent; she is an active supporter of UNICEF. In September, 2009, she became the youngest UNICEF ambassador ever appointed. She has traveled to Ghana in west Africa to help children get what they need to survive, such as clean water, food, education, and medicine. She has contributed to other UNICEF initiatives like the Tap Project, the UNICEF Snowfl ake Ball, and the ELIMINATE Project.

Along with Gomez, the special guest of the Stars Dance tour is Emblem3. They were a fi nalist for 2012’s X Factor. This pop rock group is a three member band and signed with Simon Cowell’s record label after the show ended. They join Gomez on the tour for 21 North American dates. This will be their fi rst extensive North American tour.

The show starts at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased through the KFC Yum! Center or online, for $30.50, $40.50, $46, and $66.
