• Journalists must maintain a 3.0 or are considered “ineligible” — my team is bound by athletic code of conduct (2.0) and our ethical code of conduct
• Academic Probation• Scholarship Contract
• Scholarship Chair (aka study cheerleader and poster maker)
• Study Hours• Different amount for different levels• Students can get out of them with
good grades

• You aren’t ACTUALLY creating a fraternity• It is about the pillars, with an emphasis on
family• It builds on my principal’s four pillared
philosophy• Positive relationships• A culture of success, learning, and caring• A culture of collaboration• Celebrating and recognizing success: motivating,
honoring, and sustaining • It gives the kids an experience in which they
can tell their own story, and it builds a culture of support where failure is okay
• I have to promise not to have any surprises…
