Strategic Partnerships and Thematic Networks
Objective: The programme supports partnerships which include one or more subject areas and/or comprise different levels of cooperation; in contrast to partnerships exclusively managed by individual departments, this programme encourages strategic partnerships at the university level and aims to improve the overall quality of research and instruction and to create new synergies by coordinating the activities of the participating institutes more closely. The awarded funding should be used to promote the exchange of professors, establish joint degree programmes and PhD programmes, and carry out research projects; funding should also go towards initiating and expanding additional structured programmes with the partner universities
Target Group: All state and state-recognised German universities may apply
Scholarship: A total of 250,000 € per project per annum to finance measures which build strategic partnerships can be awarded
