Employment in Lublin and Lublin Region:
In 2016, in Lublin Region, 72,652 declarations of intent to employ Ukrainian nationals
were filled in regional job centre. In comparision to the previous year, the number of declarations has increased by 32%.
65% of the declarations registered in 2016 concerned simple jobs, 11% referred to industrial workers and craftsmen, and 3% of them were issued to operators and installers of machines and equipment.
70% of the declarations were issued for people aged 40 or under.
In 2016, 97-98% of all declarations was issued for Ukrainian nationals
(overseas workers employed in Poland).
In 2016, in Lublin and Lublin District, the number of declarations issued to citizens of Ukraine ammounted to 17,029 and it was 31% higher than in the previous year.
Should a Ukrainian national work in Poland for over 6 months, a work permit2 is required.
