Dear Parents,
2012 – WHAT A YEAR!
Another amazing year has just flown by! It seems that every year goes by more quickly. As all years this
one has provided highlights and challenges for many of us but for our students we can be proud in the
way they have applied themselves, progressed and made most of the opportunities presented to them. I
would like to thank the School Council and Parents’ Association for their involvement and active support
for our students and our programs. We are certainly proud of HEPS! To all our parents who have been
involved in classroom activities, The HEPS Band and Choir, Christian Religious Education, camps and
excursions, the Canteen and just your partnership in your child’s education; thank you for enriching and
supporting the educational experiences of your children and our students.
HEPS is extremely fortunate to have dedicated and hardworking staff. Their work and devotion to the
students and school, along with the teamwork are most appreciated both by the school community and
me.

Apart from the staff acknowledged in last week’s newsletter, Rosie Lumsden our current senior PE
teacher will be taking leave for the 2013 year. We are yet to appoint a Physical Education replacement
for this period.
SCHOOL CAPTAINS 2013
Caitrin MacDowall and Dan Buchanan, (our current captains)
identified the new captains for 2013 at our last Friday morning
assembly. Congratulations to Amy Ditchfield and Sam Timmer; I am
confident they will lead the school admirably and look forward to
working closely with them next year. I would like to commend all the students who presented for this
important role as their speeches were inspirational. You will find the candidate speeches included in this
newsletter; I’m sure you will agree they are all deserving candidates. In the meantime I wish to thank
Caitrin and Dan for being exceptional captains this year. They have been inspirational in their leadership:
positive, happy and willing to take on any job asked of them. Well done! I will certainly miss you!
DEAKIN SHIELD
Mr Mike Symons, the Federal Member for Deakin presented two grade six students awards for
Excellence:
The Academic Excellence award went to Isabella Curtis and the Excellence in Sporting Achievements
went to Sandon Cannon. These students received an iTunes card, a certificate and have their names
engraved in the perpetual shield. These awards are presented to students displaying high academic
standards in both attitude and achievement or, high sporting standards in both attitude and achievement
respectively, as well as
participating in all school activities with a good attitude
demonstrating full commitment to the school ethos,
demonstrating an awareness of the needs of others and,
demonstrating a positive contribution to the school community over a numbers of years.
Both Isabella and Sanden have fulfilled the respective criteria to the highest standards and are worthy
winners.
The Arts Trophy: Visual Arts and Performing Arts
This year we have separated the Arts awards to highlight excellence in the Visual Arts
and the Performing Arts.
Congratulations to Maisie Dowzer for winning the Visual Arts trophy and Thomas Lo for
winning the Performing Arts trophy. Both displayed the following attributes:
An interest in the Arts program which includes the Visual Arts, dance, drama or music
Participation in all school activities with a good attitude
The ability to work as a team member
Initiative to develop his/her talents
Self-motivation to improve his/her skills
A positive contribution to the school community over a number of years
Thomas and Maisie met all of the above criteria to an exceptional standard. Well done and well
deserved!
GRADE 6 VALEDICTORY NIGHT
Wow what a night! The gym was decorated to perfection with glamour
and glitz; the walls adorned photos of the students’ journey through
primary school and the tables ever inviting with top hats and centre pieces.
The parents who worked most of Sunday did an outstanding job and are to
be thanked and commended. The grade six classes of 2012 walked
through an arch of lights and colour and had their photos taken as they
walked into the decorated room. It was fabulous and certainly fitting for our wonderful grade 6 students.
The students enjoyed an evening of fine dining, dancing and then the official presentations. Thank you
again to all the many parents who helped prepare the evening, the Parents’ Association for sponsoring the
event, all the staff for attending the celebration and contributing to our great students’ education. Thank
you to our level four teachers, Mrs Perryman, Mr Agars and Mr Garvey, for providing our grade six
students such an enriching and enjoyable year.
HEPS CHRISTMAS CONCERT Our students enjoyed a happy and musical presentation of Christmas spirit and cheer
last Thursday 13th
December. Feedback from various sources suggested that it was a
happy, relaxed and fresh air experience. Thank you to our staff for supporting our
students and of course the CRE volunteers that provided the program.
HEPS BAND BREAK UP
Congratulations to Miss Ashleigh Yeates, her supportive staff: Mrs Sue
Austin, Mr David Deith, Miss Candice Bush, Miss Alyce Blonik, Mr Stewart
McKee and Mr Seb Fowler, for their contribution to teaching and supporting
our talented musical students that make up the HEPS Band. On Tuesday
evening our band performed some favourite numbers and three Christmas
carols. We also enjoyed three of our grade six students who are leaving for
secondary college perform a solo: Riley Farrington, Sierra Blaxland and
Jacinta McLennan. All were superb! Congratulations to Jacinta McLennan who performed her role as
Music Captain in an exceptional manner.
CLARINET CONCERT
Well done to Miss Yvette Leach who provided her students the opportunity to share their talents with
their parents on Wednesday 12th
December. Students performed various
tunes and solos/duets. Again it’s a privilege to share our students’
enthusiasm and talents as they learn to make and enjoy music!

Please if you are using the school grounds or you’re in the vicinity of HEPS, keep an eye open for
appropriate behaviour as it would be great to have our students return to an intact school. This will
ensure that our students can resume their education next year in safe and hygienic conditions. If you

Instrumental Expression of Interest 2013 will rapidly be here and the Instrumental Staff at HEPS are looking forward to an exciting year of
music making!
This form is for students wishing to learn an instrument in 2013. This is an exciting chance to join the
many enthusiastic music makers already at the school.
Learning music is a wonderful opportunity that is not offered at every primary school. HEPS is very
fortunate to have multiple instrumental teachers offering tuition on a variety of instruments.
The instrumental teachers at HEPS offer lessons on a number of different instruments including: - Clarinet - Trombone
- Trumpet - Acoustic Guitar
- Flute - Electric Guitar and Bass
- Saxophone - Drums
- Piano/Keyboard
When students have reached an acceptable standard of playing they are invited to join one of our ensembles. We have a
Concert Band, a Rock Band and a Choir who all rehearse on a regular basis and perform regularly throughout the school year.
This is a chance for our band members to develop valuable performance skills. Performing for others is a real treat that our
band members really look forward to! Entry to the Choir is available to all students from Grade 2 up.
Instrument availability: HEPS has a number of instruments available to hire but the supply is limited and parents may be required to purchase or hire
an instrument from external sources. Please note that due to the availability of instruments, we cannot always guarantee a first
preference for an instrument. If you are interested in purchasing an instrument, we recommend that you speak to one of the
Instrumental Staff first as some instruments are of better quality than others.
Cost and Lesson Details: Each Instrumental teacher at HEPS works as a sole trader and therefore lesson prices will vary between teachers. More
information regarding cost can be found from the relevant instrumental teacher. Lessons vary between 20 and 30 minutes.
Most lessons are done on a one to one basis as we believe this creates a more valuable lesson experience.
Lessons are run during class time and a timetable is agreed upon at the start of each term. Instrumental lessons are not held
during specialist classes.
Instrument hire from HEPS is $70 a term for smaller instruments (clarinet, flute, trumpet) and $100 for larger instruments
(saxophones, trombone). These hire fees are to be paid at the start of each term along with the lesson fees.
We ask that you fill in 3 preferences for instruments. Please note that due to availability and instrument
demand we cannot guarantee your first preference will be honoured. We therefore ask that you write
down 3 serious preferences.

PLEASE NOTE:
Students from grade 3 and up will be given first preference for lessons. Often, students in the younger grades are not physically big enough to support some of these instruments. In exceptional circumstances, arrangements can be made with consultation from the appropriate instrumental teacher.
In the event that student demand exceeds places available, a waiting list will be formed for that instrument. All applications are processed in order of receipt of the enrolment form, so the sooner your child returns this form, the more likely they are to receive a place in the program.
It is expected that students will practise their instruments and music at home. Instrumental improvement will not happen with lessons alone. If it is deemed a student is not practicing or showing disinterest, they may be removed from the program.
Refunds on lessons will not be given for forgotten instruments or un-notified absences.
We cannot guarantee your first preference of instrument due to high demand in some instruments.
Hired instruments cannot be kept over the Summer break. These instruments must be returned at the end of term 4 for instrument stocktake and yearly servicing.

BOOK MATERIALS AND CONTRIBUTIONS - 2013
Dear Parents,
Heathmont East Primary School’s income is funded from two sources:
Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) Student Resource Package is
received quarterly and contributes to, but is insufficient to pay for school administration, utilities and services,
teacher salaries, urgent works, maintenance, cleaning, general school operations and some basic educational
programs and materials.
Locally raised funds are the major source of our education and school program funding and this comes
from three areas: Booklists and curriculum levies, Parent Group donations and fundraising, and sponsorship, if
opportunities arise.
In careful consideration of the information provided by the School’s Review this year and the associated
School Strategic Plan for the next four years, the fees have increased to support the challenges and needs
of 21st century learning.
Term Fees: You will be asked to pay term fees at the commencement of each of the four terms; this will
cover the costs of excursions / incursions and other extraordinary activities.
Due to an unsustainable increase in the use of the Sick Bay we need to include a School Nurse Fee of
$15 to support a qualified Nurse to attend to students’ medical and first aid needs from 11.00am – 3.00pm
daily. This person will also manage individual medical management plans, professionally train staff on
matters of first aid and manage all paperwork compliant with DEECD and Worksafe.
The School Nurse fee of $15 will be included in the Term fees.
Education Maintenance Allowance: for current holders of a Centrelink Health Care/Pension/Foster
Parent Card. You will be provided with $200 per prep child and $150 per child in grades one to six.
EMA will no longer be paid 50/50 between the family and the school. This means the 50% school
portion is no longer available to the school. However you are still able to have this money directly
deposited into the school’s account to help pay for essential education items.

Seeking Parent Opinion
Each year, the HEPS Community rolls up it sleeves to fundraise close to $30,000 for additional
innovative activities for HEPS children. This yearly effort takes many hours by dedicated volunteer
parents and friends of HEPS. With close to 300 families in the school in 2013, would your family be
willing to pay an annual donation of $100 to a proposed "HEPS Innovation Fund" instead of being asked
progressively through the year to give to multiple fundraising activities?

SCHOOL CAPTAIN SPEECH
Good morning teachers. My name is Montana Nunis and I would love to have the opportunity to tell you
about why I would like to represent HEPS as school captain.
I believe I have many of the qualities needed to be a good leader. These include: being responsible,
inclusive, respectful, friendly and co-operative.
I also believe that a good leader encourages others to develop their own leadership skills in order to build
an effective team.
I have only been at HEPS since grade 3, but in that time I have become very involved in many areas of
school life. I have represented HEPS in athletics and swimming, participated in many band
performances, including the recent band tour and just a few weeks ago attended the Traffic Safety Awards
evening to receive an award on behalf of the school. As school Captain I would always try to represent
our school community with confidence, trustworthiness and honesty. I would also listen to everyone’s
opinions and suggestions and try to communicate these effectively to the rest of the community.
When I first came to HEPS, I really appreciated the way everyone welcomed and included me straight
away. As a leader of the school, I would recommend all students to continue this welcoming spirit. This
is one of the values that HEPS display very well.

I’m here today because I’m running for school captain. My name is Jasmine Eales and I have been at
HEPS for 6 years, next year will be my last and before I leave I would like to represent this school as
school captain and make this school greater for everyone. I had the privilege of being JSC and
environmental monitor in my past years. I was red house vice-captain this year so I know what the
standards are of a leader and what I need to improve on.
Ever since I was in prep I saw and noticed the school captains and I knew then and there that’s what I
wanted to be. I would really like to be Heathmont East school captain for 2013 because I am honest,
reliable and willing to put in the effort for my fellow students, I am a good leader and try my hardest all
the time. I believe being school captain is more than just a title, it means being a good leader and
representative of the school, respecting your friends and peers and having pride in our school community.
Our school values Confidence, Respect, Team work, Responsibility and Acceptance and all important
aspects of school life, great qualities and I believe I have them all.
I enjoy working with younger students, I can talk in front of large CROWDS and I am very well
organized. I enjoy helping others and setting a good example to other students. I would help the houses
with the assembly’s or anything they need help with. I am willing to dedicate my extra time into being
school captain and to the responsibilities that come with it. I like to try my best at anything and
everything I do. I’m a polite and respectful student both to teachers and students and I like contributing
to the school in any way possible.
I would take the captaincy role seriously and always do my best. I will be respectful for everyone and
make you all feel as proud as I am of this school. I hope that I have given you all enough reasons to vote
for me. I hope that everyone has a good day and I wish the other nominees luck. Thank you for listening

JASMINE EALES
The role of school captain is a very important one, and I’m not going to lie, I would feel very special to be
chosen as one of the HEPS 2013 school captains. But being a school captain is about so much more than
just feeling important or special.
It’s about being a leader, a role model who sets a good example. It’s about supporting the school’s values
in a positive manner. And it’s about giving back to a school that has given me so much already.
When I first started at HEPS in Prep I knew one person. The school felt huge and it was really different
to my kindergarten where I knew everybody and I had mastered the playground. Back then I couldn’t
read but I could count to 100 and write my name neatly, which I know is probably a big surprise for Miss
Norris and Mr Exton!
A lot has changed since then. I now read easily, can count to any number I wish and my handwriting has
gone from good, to better, too bad, to a little less worse and has hopefully now settled on OK. But I have
learned much more at HEPS than just reading, writing and maths.
Over the last six years I have learned that having a go and doing your best matters more than winning,
that even though we are all different, everyone is important, and sometimes it is better to be kind than to
be fair. I have discovered that rules actually aren’t meant to be broken; that I can make good decisions
just by using my common sense and most importantly, that my opinion is not the only one that matters. I
have even learned not to talk too much, well, most of the time.
These lessons come from the school’s five values, like Respect, Ms Cullinane’s favourite word. At HEPS
I have learned that we must respect peoples’ rights and value their opinions. I now know the importance
of team work because as the letters of the word ‘TEAM’ spell out, Together Everyone Achieves More.
And then there’s my favourite value, Acceptance, which to me is about accepting things and people as
they are. This leads nicely to Confidence. If people feel good about themselves, then they are more
likely to be confident.
The final value is Responsibility. I believe that I can handle great responsibilities and if I were to become
school captain I would love the chance to get better at this by running assemblies, role-modelling
excellent behaviour and representing the school proudly on occasions such as young leaders day.
HEPS IS THE ONLY Primary School I have ever been to so I guess you could say that I don’t have much
to compare it to, but I think HEPS is the best school around. It has given me the skills I need to be
successful in life and I believe, also to be a successful school captain. So if you want a school captain
who will give back to the school then vote for me. Thanks for listening to my speech and good luck to

Good morning to all the teachers my name is Amy, before I start I just have to say that I haven’t
straightened or curled my hair and I haven’t put any of my special lucky earrings in because being me is
all I need to present this speech….So, I know that I am the very person for this role.
Because…
I am responsible with everything I do
I am confident, as I speak very loud and clear in speeches like this or on stage
I am trustworthy with big and little jobs in and out of the classroom
I am a great team mate and work very well in groups no matter how big or small
I am a very honest student here at HEPS
I am an organised person
I am kind, not only to my friends but to everyone in the whole school
I have respect for all of the teachers and students
And…..
I am very willing for 2013’s School Captain
These I think are the abilities you need to be the school captain.
I have been the Blue House Vice Captain this year, and I’ve enjoyed it so much, but because you have to
skip class because of it, it means that you have to complete the work you’ve missed out on, and I have
done that throughout the year. Knowing there’s a bit more to do as a school captain, there’s more work to
keep up with, but that wouldn’t be a problem for me.
I have been a leader nearly all my life, whether it is in literacy groups here at school, or at home with my
sister. I was one of the environmental monitors in grade 2, which meant you had the responsibility of
taking out the compost bin, and I made sure it happened every single lunch time. I was the sixer at the
Heathmont Cub Pack which is the group leader. That meant I had a lot of responsibility and I succeeded
and I graduated from Cubs with my head held high.
I have been at HEPS since Prep which means I remember lots of school captains throughout my time
here. In Prep I used to hang around with Kate [the school captain in 2007]. She used to tell me what she
did as a school captain [like the flags and assemblies and so much more], after then I knew that when I
got to grade 6, that is what I wanted to be. Ever since then I have been working harder and harder
knowing when I get there I’ll do everything to my ability to be the School Captain for 2013.
I think all of this adds up to be the perfect school captain.

Hi I’m Abbey, before I start I would just like to thank everyone for giving me this amazing opportunity, I would
really love to be one of the 2013 school captains.
This year I was lucky enough to have the role of being a Green House Vice-captain! I loved being a leader of the
school knowing that younger kids looked up to me and saw me as a role model!
For me, to be a school captain means a lot!
So, qualities, I think some qualities that I have is that I am honest, so I will tell the truth all of the time, I would be
reliable, so you can leave me with a job and not be scared that I will not finish, I am approachable so I will be able
to talk to anyone, students, teachers and even parents and I will always have a smile on my face! I’m also
confident, so I can talk in front of a large audience like at assembly or general public speaking and I also would
participate in all school activities to my best ability and help others whenever possible!
Another thing that I would keep in mind all the time is that the 5 school values! Confidence, acceptance,
responsibility, teamwork and I think the most important one, Respect! Respect, when someone talks to me about
respect I think to include anyone and not leave anyone out, or to be just generally nice, respectful to everyone!
Another important thing that should be mentioned is the school oath! I think the School Oath is a great way to start
the school week along with the Australian National Anthem! It motivates everyone to have a great week at school!!
But I think that last line is the most important part of it all! Aim High AT HEPS.
For me Aim High at HEPS means to be your best in everything you do, to try your best always! But it’s not even
just in Class Room work; it’s in everything we do. In a music lesson, in Art, Lote, CRE, Sport and even outside
school in anything we do. To strive to your best always, ALWAYS give new things a go!
If I had the opportunity to be a school Captain I would take it as an honour and a privilege and I would cherish
every moment of it.
There are so many reasons why I would love to be the school captain for 2013, but if I shared them all with you, I
would be up here until Christmas next year!

ABBEY HEYMANSON
Good morning teachers. My name is Sam Timmer and I have been a member of the H.E.P.S community
since prep. One of my clear memories of my time here at H.E.P.S was my 1st day at school. I remember
Miss Sullivan peeling me away from my mum, crying my eyes out and feeling so nervous that I threw up
when I got home from school. It’s been a happy journey for me since then and I can’t believe I’m now
standing here talking in front of you all.
I feel very proud of the person I am and what I’ve achieved so far during not only my time at H.E.P.S but
also outside of school. I have played acoustic guitar for 4 years. This year I was one of the 2 grade 5 boys
that were part of the winning grand final cricket team against Great Ryrie Primary School. I was so proud
to be part of this team. Another proud achievement was coming 3rd
out of 60 junior cricketers earlier this
year in the club championship. I was also voted most valuable player in the team. I love being part of a
team and are currently a member of Ringwood Football Club, Heatherdale Cricket Club and have recently
joined Spirit Magic Basketball Club. What I feel most proud of is the earning of the role of gold house
vice-captain this year. A role that I was very honoured to receive.
What I believe I can bring to the role as 2013 school captain is good organisational skills. I am a well
organised person and very committed to the task at hand. In fact when I was in Miss Barker’s grade 3
class, I did not have 1 day off school for the whole year. This year I have not had any sick days off. I
believe this shows my commitment to school. I do and will continue to respect my peers and teachers and
uphold the school values. As I have been involved with team sports over the last few years I will continue
to be a strong team player. I am enthusiastic and always willing to help and enjoy doing extra chores
when asked. I am a good communicator with my peers and teachers which is an important part of being
school captain.
One last thing I value is my family. I am very lucky to have a great mum and dad who love and support
me. Last year, I was lucky enough to travel Australia for 4 months, an experience I will remember
forever.
Finally, I would love the responsibility of 2013 school captain and I believe I have what it takes to be
successful at this role. I will do the best job I can to represent the school. If I am not successful I will do
everything I can to support the 2 chosen captains.

SAM TIMMER
Hi my name is Chris, as most of you would know, and I would like to try out for School Captain in 2013.
I believe I have a lot of good qualities that would make me a good school leader. I am kind, caring,
helpful, confident, nice, funny, respectful, patient, responsible and organised.
I am comfortable in communicating with students, teachers and other adults and I am confident at being
able to express my own opinion.
I have represented HEPS at Athletics, Cross Country, Swimming and numerous Leadership experiences
as well as being JSC Rep being Vice House Captain this year has given me experience in leadership and
public peaking when hosting assemblies. It has also taught me to be well organised by keeping up to date
with my school work while completing my role.
Swimming is my sport outside of school and I train 4 to 5 times a week. It has taught me to be
disciplined, organised and independent. It has given me experience in communicating with lots of
different people like coaches, parents, officials at swim meets and other swimmers older and younger.
I have always looked up to the school captains and holed one day I might be like them. I am excited to
have this opportunity to give my all to the school.
If I am selected as School Captain I will proudly represent the school and complete all responsibilities
required of me. I strongly believe in the 5 values of HEPS and want to set a good example for all
students.

Good morning, everyone, I’m Angie Symon and I’m very honoured to be nominated for HEPS School
Captain for 2013.
I thought I’d talk to you about how the school’s values influence the job of school captain and how they
relate to me.
As School Captain, I would show great respect for our flat, our school and all others.
Respecting others, regardless of their background, means acceptance of everybody whether they are tall
or short, or any other things that are different to ourselves.
Six years at HEPS has taught me a variety of skills which has given me the confidence to take on any
challenges.
The feedback from my teachers in this time has shown me that they appreciate my caring and thoughtful
attitude.
My teachers report that I am a mature and reliable class member, so I am confident that I an now take on
the responsibility of being school captain and give back to the HEPS community, and be a good role
model.
I could bravely step into a difficult situation if required, in a cheerful and friendly way.
I am punctual and follow instructions with a smile :) I think I have the right attidue to uphold our school
values with pride.

Good morning teachers,
First I would like the opportunity to thank you for teaching me throughout my years at HEPS. My name
is Sam Philp and I would like the opportunity to be your School Captain for 2013.
Before I start my speech I would like to tell you a bit about myself. You would have seen me leading
assembly as Red House Vice Captain or in the playground playing basketball. Besides sport, writing is
one of my favourite subjects in school. I am always willing to lend a hand.
I would like to base my speech on the 5 values at HEPS. I believe that every student should know and act
by these values.
No. 1 Respect
I believe respect is to appreciate anybody or anything. A big part of resect is to respect others’ opinion
and values. If you voted for me I would carry out respect in a vital way.
No. 2 Acceptance
I believe acceptance is to accept anyone for who they are, what they believe in and how they look. If you
voted for me I would accept the role in a positive way.
No. 3 Teamwork
I believe teamwork is to be able to cooperate and ocmm8inicate with anyo9ne at any one time. I love
working in groups and if you voted for me I would undertake the role of making this school a team.
No. 4 Confidence
I believe confidence is being able to speak to a large crowd and not feel nervous. Another part of being
confident is being able to communicate with someone at any age level. If you voted for me I would be
the most confident school captain you would ever see.
No. 5 Responsibility
I believe responsibility is the ability to be calm and sensible when everyone else isn’t. It is the ability to
take on a challenge and keep your word to it What I mean by that is if Miss Allard gave me a task I
would see it through to the end. If you voted for me I would be a res0onsible and reliable school captain.
I have now shared with you the 5 values of the school. Now I would like to share with you two of my
own. The first one is Influence. Influence is a leader directing people. Influence can be good or bad. If
you voted for me I would bring positive and happy influence to the school. Any my other value is
Leadership. Leadership is being able to take control of any situation and being fair in everything that you
dol. If you voted for me I would take positive control over any situation. I would be confident with my
speaking and I would be a fair school captain.
To finish up, I love basketball and play 5 times a week. I do my best to listen to my coaches. This is a
quote my basketball coach gave me this week. You don’t always get what you wish for…you get what
you work for.

Good morning Ms Allard, staff and teachers. My name is Daniel Boss and I would like to be the
representative for our school as School Captain. I believe I would be a great School Captain because I am
an organised person and I would be very willing to undertake extra duties. Like Friday morning
assemblies. I like to work hard and get jobs done in time, this is vital for school captains because they
have to do a lot of hard work, within a certain time frame. I have always wanted to have a role in the
school which involves a lot of responsibility so I can make this school an even better place to learn and
play. As school captain I need to be ready when asked to do something and take immediate action for
what I must do.
I would also offer assistance to people who require help ad take care of them. Skills such as
responsibility, diligence and confidence are required as School Captain, and I offer all of these skills. I
am also persistent, disciplined and possess self-control in all that I am assigned to do. I am also a patient,
polite and helpful person when dealing with other people.
If I were to be School Captain, I would be the proudest and most reliable student at HEPS. I would like
to be a School Captain not because I would get a badge but because I am willing and responsible enough
to take on a job that requires such capabilities, such as leading the school. All of these things, I believe
make an effective school captain.
