Happy New Year

and Welcome Back

We hope you have all had a

wonderful Christmas and a

restful break with your families.

We know that we needed our

break and I’m sure the children

were in a similar position! They

all worked incredibly hard in

the run up to Christmas, with

their amazing performance in

their first Carol Service being a

highlight of the term. They

impressed us all last term with

their attitude to learning and

mature approach to life around

school. The Spring Term will be

another busy term culminating

in the performance of Ali Baba

and the Bongo Bandits

Curriculum News

The children will be switching

to history in Humanities this

term. They will be learning

about pre-history moving from

Bronze and Iron Age. After half

Wood, to reinforce learning

through practical workshops. In

art they will be studying 'cave

art to graffiti art' in which the

children will make cave

paintings, question the purpose

of cave art and explore

how cave paintings were made.

They will then look at the work

of street artists such as Keith

Haring and Banksy to explore

their use of symbols. They will
