Growing Together through Close Partnership with Our Communities
DYNAM JAPAN HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. entered into a share exchange agreement with
Yume Corporation Co., Ltd. in November 2015. Our group now has over 440 halls as a
result of this. We plan to further improve our corporate value by maximizing the
management resources of both companies.
I would like to express my sincere respects to all those in the region aected by the
Kumamoto Earthquake that struck in April 2016. Our group operates 13 halls in
Kumamoto. e earthquake caused ve of these halls to temporarily close. However,
thanks to the support we received from our many trusted partners, including our
suppliers and halls across Japan, all of our halls in the region were able to re-open after
one week. I would like to thank everyone for this support.
We have published this booklet to keep you updated about DYNAM Group over the
past half-year. I will be very pleased if you could read it and learn more about us.

DYNAM Kamiiso Hall and Adjoining Mega SupermarketThis 24-hour supermarket sells everything from fresh food to daily necessities. This supports the lives of local residents.
This is a large bathhouse. It is popular because the hot spring has high levels of carbonate to improve blood circulation. This is a place where local residents can relax. Hakodate Bay spreads out directly in front of the open-air bath.

Hakodate: One of Hokkaido’s Leading Tourist Destinations
You can taste fresh surf clam caught that morning in this restaurant. This is a very popular restaurant. You may have to wait for three hours on a holiday.
Hachiman Hill extends out directly to the sea. This is a spot where you can see the whole of Hakodate Port. If you drive the coastal highway from here for about 20 minutes, you will arrive at Hokuto.
Chicken Cuisine: Chicken Salt RamenThis chicken salt ramen is a local taste. This blends salt made locally with chicken stock. Local fans line up for this popular restaurant at lunchtime. It is common to dip an onigiri (rice ball) into the soup to finish your meal for a taste like that of ochazuke (rice with tea poured on it). This is the Torishun style.
What kind of place is Hokuto?
Please taste our steamed cuisine that brings the best out of the ingredients!

DYNAM Kamiiso Hall
“Who is working today?” We hear questions like this from the customers lining up in front of the hall early in the morning. We have customers who come here to meet each one of our employees. is is the best evidence we have that Kamiiso Hall is loved by the community. We believe that building a hall close to the lives of local residents is the secret to why we are so beloved.
Kamiiso Hall has been built on the grounds of a large shopping centre. erefore, many of our customers are women and especially the elderly who come here to shop. We have set up refrigerated lockers where our customers can store the products they have purchased in the food department. We have done this because we value our customers. ese lockers are very popular. ey are always full. erefore, we are considering expanding these. We aim to do business in a way that meets the needs of our customers. For example, we have many
machines where it is possible to play for a long time with a small amount of money and we open at 09.00 in the morning even when we launch new machines.
We recommend to our regular customers to become members at DYNAM Kamiiso Hall. We have increased the number of members for 171 consecutive days (current as of 28 June 2016). e record for halls in Hokkaido used to be 153 days. e secret to our record is that each of our employees values communication with our customers. We have many elderly customers at Kamiiso Hall. Many people come here in search of conversation. Our employees forge close relationships with our customers by talking to them and remembering their names even before opening and during play. is is the reason why we continue to see an increase in our members and regular customers.
is courteous interaction is distinctive to Kamiiso Hall where we have 1,000 machines – the largest number in DYNAM. Our size means that it is not possible to oer hospitality just by increasing our number of employees. We focus on increasing the proportion of full-time workers and enriching our training program compared to other halls. is means that all our employees value our customers.
Kamiiso Hall is incredibly popular with women and elderly customers compared to our nearby competitors. However, in the future, we would also like to increase the number of younger customers and to be a hall in close contact with the community regardless of age or gender. Our challenge in the future will be to provide fun for all ages without changing our business style that meets the needs of our elderly and female customers. We intend to proactively listen to everyone’s opinions regardless of whether they are a part-time or full-time employee. We hope that this will allow us to steadily achieve our targets.

Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Efforts
Desire of DYNAM to Support Recoverye 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake struck on 14 and 16 April 2016 beneath Kumamoto Prefecture in Kumamoto Region. e earthquake caused ve of our halls to temporarily close. In this section, we report on the response of our group up to the re-opening of these halls with our recovery activities.
Four Activities by DYNAM
Support Activities
Our employees rushed to support our disaster-affected hallsWe were able to quickly re-open halls aected by the Kumamoto Earthquake. is meant that reducing the burden on hall operations became our next challenge. Accordingly, we implemented “Hometown Support”. We placed Kumamoto-born employees in disaster-aected halls as supporters. is took advantage of the benets of being a nationwide chain.
ree employees rushed to Matsubase Hall to give their support for about one month. is meant our tired, disaster-aected employees could take a break and clean up their homes. ey told me that this was great. In addition, I
heard from the supporters that they were relieved to be able to check on their homes and see their family were OK. I felt this was a welcome initiative for both the supporters and disaster-aected halls.
Hometown Support
Showcasing the support activities of DYNAM across JapanWe talked about the recovery support activities of DYNAM Japan Holdings Group on a blog to support recovery from the Kumamoto Earthquake called Ganbaro! Kumamoto (Keep at It! Kumamoto). is is letting everyone know about our group’s support for the Kumamoto Earthquake. is blog focuses on donations and the details of activities taken by teams that have gone to the area.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone for your help with the Kumamoto Earthquake. ank you for your support with making various adjustments and arranging for relief supplies to ensure the early re-opening of our halls. Everyone in our zone is also thankful for your messages of support and hometown support. Our Kumamoto Halls have all now re-opened. is is thanks to you. I would like to express my gratitude for this. I hope that we are able to repay your support by operating our halls with great success.

FY2016 DYNAM New Employee Ceremony. We welcomed 139 new employees at this ceremony.
We sponsored the 4th Local Mascot Children’s Dreams Festival in Shirakawa.
DYNAM Group Developments
We have been recognized as an Ishikawa Gender Equality Promotion Declaration Company. We attended a certificate ceremony held at Ishikawa Prefectural Office on 19 January 2016. There are currently 206 companies in Ishikawa that have been recognized with this declaration as of 18 March 2015. This ceremony was attended by 28 companies. We were awarded our certificate from Masanori Tanimoto, the Governor of Ishikawa.
We held a new employee ceremony for 139 new employees (male: 97 / female: 42) this fiscal year. Our ratio of new female employees rose by 7.3% compared to FY2015 to 30.2%. We plan to continue recruiting new graduates. This is based on our new hall opening plan and employment plan as a workplace where women can play an active role.
The 4th Local Mascot Children’s Dreams Festival in Shirakawa took place over two days on Saturday, 21 and Sunday, 22 May 2016. This event was held in Komine Avenue and Shirakawa Station Event Plaza in Shirakawa, Fukushima. There were about 180,000 visitors to this event in 2016. More than 150 mascots (including local mascots, local heroes and manga characters) appeared at this event. The Moories, the official mascots of DYNAM Group, appeared at our booth and on a stage event on Sunday, 22 May 2016.
We declared we would achieve four targets based on the positive actions in the female activity promotion plan of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. We will improve the workplace environment, we will expand our recruitment of women, we will offer continuous employment of women and increase our number of female managers. DYNAM set up a Female Activity Promotion Team in 2013. This team is cantered on our female Human Resources Development
Manager. There are three objectives to our general employer action plan based on the Female Activity Promotion Act. (1) We will ensure that women account for 40% or more of the full-time employees we recruit. (2) We will develop the balance support system we have already introduced and build an environment that makes it easy for both men and women to use. (3) We will provide manager training for our female employees.
We were recognized as an Ishikawa Gender Equality Promotion Declaration Company.
We sponsored DYNAM CUP SQ-CUBE PEN 2016 in Saitama.
DYNAM continued as the official partner of the Japan Squash Association.
We declared the positive actions recognized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
We sponsored the 4th Local Mascot Children’s Dreams Festival in Shirakawa.
We held the FY2016 DYNAM New Employee Ceremony. We welcomed 139 new employees at this ceremony.
The Kumamoto Earthquake struck. The epicentre was Kumamoto District.
We began the introduction of CRA Yatterman DS. We developed this in collaboration with Sun Three Corporation.

Sponsorship Activities
DYNAM Group has donated a total of yen to support recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake since March 2012.
We raised an amount equivalent to yen in balls and medals with everyone’s cooperation from 1 September 2015 to 29 February 2016.
We distributed this money between the three prefectures in Tohoku and Rikuzentakata in Iwate.

DYNAM Hiroshima Matsunaga Hall participated in games and attractions associated with the region as the event staff of a stamp rally to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the enactment of Fukuyama in Hiroshima and the 50th anniversary of the Matsunaga Merger. Many families participated in this event. We received a following gratitude from parents who saw the uniforms of DYNAM. “I have seen your uniforms in a commercial. My image of pachinko halls has changed after seeing you participate in this event. Thank you for playing with my children.” We also received kind words from employees in the city hall. “It is the first time a company has participated as a volunteer at such an event. We look forward to seeing you again.”
DYNAM Nagano Chino Hall helped to clean up at the Onbashira Festival in Suwa Taisha Shrine. This is the largest festival in the region. Onbashira Festival is a series of event to select pillars, carry them from the mountain and then erect them on the grounds of the shrine. This accompanies the re-building of the repository of Suwa Taisha Shrine. Our employees cleaned up around our hall and the nearby riverbank once the festival had finished. In addition, traffic restrictions are put in place during this festival. Therefore, DYNAM Nagano Chino Hall shut down and opened up their parking lot to help attract local residents and tourists to the event. Many people (e.g. festival participants and other relevant people) thanked our employees after the end of the festival.

New Hall Preview
To build trust with landowners
We held a preview for landowners of DYNAM Yamanashi Minami Alps Hall in Yamanashi that opened on 29 April 2016.
Hall Overview: DYNAM Yamanashi Minami Alps Hall
1070-1, Momosono, Minami Alps-shi, Yamanashi
Address:
We held a preview inside DYNAM Minami Alps Hall for landowners on 11 March 2016 before its official opening. The purpose of this preview was to promote understanding of the business activities of DYNAM for when this hall opened. We achieved this by showing the landowners the actual completed hall to build a relationship of trust with them. At the same time, we are also looking to manage this hall with deeper roots in the community by listening to the opinions of local landowners.
On the day of the preview, those working in the DYNAM Business Support Asset Management Department gave the landowners an overview of the hall and explained about the inquiries counter for the future. Together with this, there was an introduction to the Hall Manager and time for questions from the landowners. We were told that being able to meet and talk like this created a sense of security towards our group.
We will now be in a long-term relationship with the landowners in the area. Therefore, actually meeting these landowners was also a good chance to build a relationship with local residents.
In addition, meeting the landowners made me strongly realize the importance of all employees working together to build a hall loved by the commu-nity as a hall manager.
Words of encour-agement and
expectation have become the driving force for hall management
