CALL TO ORDER Chairman Bryan Rogers called the meeting to order and a quorum was present. Board members present with the Chairman were; Board Member Sonny Lee Mosby, Board Member Sunil Verma, Board Member Billy McClendon, Board Member Charles Barton and Board Member Dale Davenport. Staff present was Building Official Brian Killebrew, Code Enforcement Officer Pat Mitchell, Secretary Alicia Chavez and Development Services Director Renae Ollie. CITIZENS COMMENTS

Chairman Rogers opened the Citizens Participation. With no one approaching the Commissioners, Chairman Rogers closed the Citizens Participation. CONSENT ITEMS

1. Consider and act upon approval of the Minutes from the August 18, 2014, Regular Meeting.

Board Action

A motion was made by Board Member Verma and seconded by Board Member McClendon to approve the Minutes from the August 18, 2014 Regular Meeting. Motion passed 6-0.

Staff Comments

Ms. Mitchell stated that she was contacted by the Wylie Fire and Police Department whom were called because there was smoke coming from the home. It appeared that someone attempted to set fire in the home by setting a Christmas tree on fire in the fireplace. This property is located at 2901 Glendale Dr. The yard needs to be mowed and the property was secured. Liens were filed and have not been satisfied. This home is vacant.

Vice Chairman Mosby opened the Public Hearing. With no one approaching the Board, Vice Chairman Mosby closed the Public Hearing.

A motion was made by Board Member Herrera and seconded by Board Member McClendon to approve the emergency secure of 2901 Glendale Dr. Motion carried 6-0.

Ms. Mitchell stated that she was doing a routine check on this location and found that there was a hole in the fence large enough for anyone to fit through. There is an in the ground pool so she contacted the contractor due to the back fence being unsecured once again at the property located at 1413 Scottsdale Dr. The property was once re-secured by the contractor. Liens were filed and have not been satisfied. This home is vacant.

The property was re-secured. Liens were filed and have not been satisfied. This home is still vacant.

Staff Comments

Ms. Mitchell stated that she was contacted by the Wylie Police Department while serving a warrant; they found the entire home unsecured at the property located at 350 Donna Dr. Ms. Mitchell stated they home was completely trashed due to what appears to be animal feces throughout the home. Ms. Mitchell contacted the contractor to board the entire home up from the inside and out. Liens were filed and have not been satisfied. This home is vacant. Board Member McClendon asked if all the trash and feces was cleaned up. Ms. Mitchell stated it has been cleaned.

Ms. Mitchell stated that she was contacted by the Wylie Police Department due to the homeowner breaking out all windows located at 514 Kylie Ln. The bank had come in and cleaned up the property and paid the liens off. This property is a foreclosure.
