COURSE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
• Discussion/approval by department chair
• Proposal forwarded (email) to Director, Academic Programs at least one full term in advance of target semester (one year in advance suggested)
• Instructional designer assigned; project timetable developed
• Stipend offered based on strategic priorities of the college
• Stipend released after course passes through final review with instructional designer
COURSE DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY SUPPORT
• Development stipend: $2,950
• Decision based on alignment with strategic priorities (agreed upon online programs, Gen Ed support, summer/winter alternative enrollment, evening/Metro Center degree support)
• Delivery may be funded, based on alignment with strategic priorites
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
• Aligns with UUP Guidance in IP
• IP solely belongs to faculty unless Shared Intellectual Property agreement is signed
• Agreement allows content reuse by faculty developer and SUNY Oswego
• Used for program continuity in fully online degree programs
