Daniel did not hold back, nor Jeremiah or Isaiah

They represented a brand of distinction and separation unto God for Hisdivine purpose regarding carrying a burden in intercessory prayer.

Everyone is called to pray, but among those, many also will enter the arena ofintercession.

If you feel that God is calling you into the area of intercessory prayer, youare encouraged to yield to the burden of the Lord and intercede.

If God is calling you into a deeper dimension of intercession?

    Don't hold back!

Love God-The Father: don't hold back!

In "bearing one another's burdens," as instructed in Gal. 6:2, weclearly see that "God...hath given unto us the ministry ofreconciliation..." (II Cor. 5:18-20).

Reconciliation is executed when two parties reach agreeable

terms and restore a harmonious relationship.

In order for one to help reconcile on this basis, mediation orintercession must be rendered.

According to the scripture we can stand in Christ's stead andjustifiably intercede for others by standing in the gap betweenGod and humanity for the purpose of reconciliation.

    Prayer is not a self-validating exercise;

No, each and every prayer is a tiny piece of a great cosmic puzzle,

which when fitted together will allow for the completion of thegrand picture of the Almighty Lords plan for humanity and theuniverse.

It is this longing for Gods glory and for the return ofJesus as King that drives our prayers. We resonate withthe words of Revelation 22:17-20:

The Spirit and the Bride say, Come. And let the onewho hears say, Come. ... Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.

    Challenges for Prayer

    1. Spiritual vitality does not always equate to biblical truth. Philippines is

awash with sects and cults that blend

    2. Christian ideas with all manner of false teachings.

    3. Some of these are schisms from Catholicism, some are independent

groups that sprang from Protestant contexts, some are effectively neo-

pagan religions with a Christian veneer.

    4. Most feature highly controlling and manipulative leadership and

    teachings.

    5. Pray for all lies to be exposed, and pray for effective Christian apologetics

and ministry to the millions caught within these groups.

Pray for the spiritual health of the Church and the right way toaddress:

    1. The Fragmentation of churches. There are now over 2,000 registered religious

denominations, not including the hundreds of unregistered cults and

sects; Divisions reflect schisms, broken fellowship or

    unhealthy and authoritarian leadership patterns.

    2. The lack of discipleship and solid biblical teaching

    1. Poverty in many congregations, especially rural ones

    Adoration(1st subcategory tab)

Go to your list of "Attributes of God" which would be placed right after your "God"tab, and praise Him, thank Him, dwell on His character.

    * You might want to pick one attribute a month to dwell daily on, searching

scripture for other verses about that attribute, too, in your reading time to give youa better understanding.

    * Sing or repeat praise songs/hymns to Him.

    * Add to this section with your own list of hymns, etc.

    * Read Scripture passages, that pertain to His attributes, back to Him. A greatpassage is Psalm 103!

Virtue 2: FaithAnd without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who

comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who

    earnestly seek him.

    Hebrews 11:6

Faith is when you trust God and His purpose in your circumstances more thanthe resources that appear to be available to fit them as you understand them.

As Hebrews 11:1 states, Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of

what we do not see. Faith is critical to the Kneeling knight, so I encourage the readerto slow down and take some time to fully digest this section. Faith is so critical to Godthat He has gone so far to tell that it is impossible to even please Him without faith:And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to himmust believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him(Hebrews 11:6).

And remember, a true knights first mission and calling is to please the King

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ lovedus and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.Ephesians 5:1-2

Being godly means imitating God in your daily life.

Put simply, a godly person is one who responds to daily life activities and circumstances in the waythat Christ would. Essentially, this means aspiring to godly virtues (such as those defined in thisbook) while avoiding sin. First Timothy 6:11 encourages us to Flee from all this (sin), andpursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.

These two actionsfleeing sin and pursuing righteousnessare the two action commands ofgodliness that can be used guide your decisions in daily life situations.

How to Develop a Strong Prayer Life

    I. INTRODUCTIONA. Prayer has diff erent expressions such as in timacy with God (includes prayer -reading the Word and fell owshipping with

the Spir it), in terceding for revival, justice, or social tr ansformation (also referred to as

contending prayer) , providing prayer cover ing for individuals, and praying for the sick. I n thisway, we encounter God, do the works of the kingdom, and change the wor ld.

    B. A consistent prayer life is essential to the IMonly through a lifestyle of prayer can we receive the

fullness of what God has provided for us. The forerunner commitment is to seek to spend at least two

hours of prayer a day in any of these four expressions.

    C. What is prayer? It is talking to God. It is at the same time a great privilege, a fierce struggle, anda powerful miracle of the Spirit who helps us in our weakness in prayer.

    D. Prayer is so necessary because it causes our spirit to be energized, releases Gods blessing

on our circumstances, and results in real changes in the Church, the nations, and society.

    E. Prayer is a place of abiding in Christ or connecting with the Spirit that energizes us to loveGod (first commandment) which causes us to overflow in love for others (second commandment).

5 He who abides in Mebears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (Jn. 15:5)

    1 Timothy 2:1-4

Therefore I exhort first of all thatsupplications, prayers, intercessions, andgiving ofthanks be made for all men, for kings and all whoare in authority, that we may lead a quiet and

peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. Forthis isgood and acceptable in the sight of God ourSavior, who desires all men to be saved and tocome to the knowledge of the truth.

    Romans 8:18-27

For I consider that the sufferings of this presenttime are not worthy to be comparedwith the glory which

shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of thecreation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, butbecause of Him who subjected itin hope; because thecreation itself also will be delivered from the bondage ofcorruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.For we know that the whole creation groans and labors withbirth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we alsowho have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves

groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we were saved in thishope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does onestill hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we donot see, we eagerly wait for itwith perseverance.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our

weaknesses. For we do not know what we shouldpray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makesintercession for us with groanings which cannotbe uttered. Now He who searches the heartsknows what the mind of the Spirit is,because He

makes intercession for the saints according to thewill ofGod.

    - Unlimited list of gifts?

    - Meets criteria for a spiritual gift

    - An important role in the church

edifies the body of Christfrom the character of Christ
