What is coal Coal is a combustible and a
sedimentary rock. This meansit can be burnt very well. Coaltakes millions of years to
create. It is a non-renewableenergy source and it willeventually run out becausepeople burnt it and then it
becomes useless. Coal is anabundant fossil fuel. There isa lot of abundant fossil fuels
around the world and forthese days it is easy to findcoal on the surface. In thefuture there will be a limited
amount of coal and it will bevery hard to find coal.

How Coal is made? Coal is made from a lot ofminerals undergroundpushed together. Coal is
made from the energywhich is stored by plants. Itis stored by plantsbecause a layer of dead
plants at the bottom of theswamps were covered oflayers of water and dirt,
trapping the energy of thedead plants. The heat andpressure made the plantsremain for a long time then
it was made into.

What Are Some Problems With
Electricity and Fossil Fuels? One of the most common ways toproduce electricity is by burning fossilfuels. In fossil fuels there are coal, oil
and natural gas. When fossil fuels getburned, it releases carbon dioxide intoatmosphere and it leads to acid rainand global warming. These are bigproblems for our environment. Another concern is that we will run outof fossil fuels in the future. Fossil fuelsare non renewable resources thatmeans that it will take millions of years
to create. So that's why we should startdeveloping and managing new ways touse renewable recources such as windand water power.
