When you buy gift cards at face value through our school instead of retail stores, parents and SCCS receive up to 15% ofthe card’s value! This adds up quickly! If every family bought even just their grocery and gas cards through the VIP, more than $50,000 could be raised – what a huge opportunity!

Ever wonder how Strathroy Community Christian School comes up with tuition? Ever wish that tuition would be lower?

We put together this infographic to illustrate where our money comes from, where it goes and how we together can bring in more of it to keep tuition down.

Based on the Strathroy Community Christian School Society’s Approved 2014-2015 budget, draft 2015-2016 budget, budgetary projections and donor giving statistics from 2014.

How do we work together to keep tuition down?

There are HUNDREDS of ways, but here are three that costyou nothing extra and help families afford Christ-centred education.

1.Get your church on board

If every church with an SCCS student contributed as little as $1,000, SCCS would have $30,000. Ask yours about giving, today!

3. Help the Second Chance

Community StoreOur store accepts gently used donations of household items, furniture, appliances and building material, reselling them and generating funds for the school. As you can imagine, the store relies heavily on volunteers to do pick ups, donation sorting, lifting, cash work and refurbishing. Last year, approximately $1,000 was raised for each family at SCCS. Reaching $1,500 or even $2,000 is possible in the near future with more contributions from volunteers, shoppers and donors.

So there you have it...No one likes tuition, but there are many ways to lessen this burden. When our school community works together, giving its time and resources, tuition is much more manageable, allowing more children to enjoy the difference of SCCS and the strong foundation that Christ-centred education provides.
