TOP TIPS TO CUT YOUR WASTE1. REFUSE to buy things that you do not
really need.
2. REDUCE consumption where possible, especially of single use items.
3. REUSE existing items rather than purchasing new. Consider donating unwanted items to charity.
4. RECYCLE right by making sure bottles, jars and containers are empty and give them a quick clean. Buy recycled products where possible.
5. REPAIR items instead of throwing them out when they are broken.

PREBOOKEDCLEAN UP SERVICEBOOKING INFORMATIONEligible households are entitled to two Prebooked Clean Ups per financial year (July to June). As this is a popular service, during peak periods the waiting time can be more than eight weeks.
For more information about this service, including what can and cannot be collected or to book a collection, please visit Council’s website.
Note: Changes, including cancellations to a Prebooked Clean Up service, must be made more than eight days prior to the booked collection date otherwise this may get counted as one of your Clean Ups. Changes can only be made by calling Council on 02 9710 0333 during business hours.
Council reserves the right to reject any clean up items.
TIMING AND CORRECT PLACEMENT OF MATERIAL• Material can only be placed on the kerbside the day before the collection
date. Material placed out before this may be treated as illegal dumping.• Place items between the kerb and the footpath.• Garden waste (bundled and tied), metals, whitegoods and mattresses
should be presented separately as different trucks collect different waste to increase recycling.
• Materials should be presented in a neat and tidy way that is easily handled by two people e.g. less than 1.5m in length.
• Do not park your vehicle in front of the clean up material.
CLEAN UP FOR LARGE COMPLEXESIf you live in an apartment, townhouse or villa complex with seven or more dwellings, Clean Up bookings can only be made through the strata manager or owners’ corporation. The booking form for large complexes is on Council’s website. The Clean Up service can be used twice within a financial year.
