Napoleon Dynamite

From this I can tell that this film is going to be a comedy as the names of the actors are shown on cards and various plates of food. The main characters name is also Napoleon Dynamite which is quite a funny name anyway.

The name of the actor is written on a steak in a sauce which is a weird and wacky way of presenting the names which is further evidence that this film is going to be a comedy. The character that this actor plays in the film is also a football player and always eats steaks so the food that his name is presented on also reflects what the character is like.

This actors name is presented on nachos and his name is written in guacamole. This food also reflects on the character that this actor plays as the character in the film is mexican and nachos are a mexican food.This name is presented on a high

school lunch tray with disgusting looking food which implies that this film is going to be set in a high school.

The drawing on this picture is quite a geeky drawing which implies that the character in this film is going to be bit weird. The drawing is also quite a bad drawing which shows the character is a bit childish. The producers are displayed under toy

The first thing that appears on the screen is the producer and distributer of the film, this shows the audience that because the producer and distributer is well know that the film is going to be successful

The music that accompanies the distributers and producers is a quite and tranquil which reveals the the audience the film genre which isn’t a horror and that it’s a teen tilm.

The writing is in capital letters and is in white which makes it clear clean and crisp. Its also in white so that it stands out on the blue background.

This is also another producer and distributer of the film.

The music that accompanies this is the same as the previous slide which is a tranquil and quite song.

The background is delicate and tranquil and it is a setting of the sea meeting the sky which slowly faded into a girl that is lying in bed, which reveals the the audience that the mood is still and level.

The two words "Wild Child" fly on from different sides of the screen and meet on middle left of the screen. They seem to glisten and make a twinkly sound. When the girl rushes towards it they smash. They glisten to represent her current life and how plush her lifestyle is at this moment in time, they then smash to represent how the day is going to turn out for her, a small insight for the audience.

The font is in bold and in capital letters which suggests that she’s a bold character, and that she’s a very strong headed independent teenager.

The letters then smash when she runs through them in a rush. The letters make a twinkling noise as they smash which gives the audience the insight that she’s a very fortunate teenager.

However, the beginning sequence does not include any names of people that star in the movie, it just consists of the producers and distributers and the title of the film.

The first text that appears on the screen is the producer and distributer, the background is a close up of a book and the writing is in white so that is stands out from the background and its what the viewers eye is automatically drawn to

The font is blurry which gives the audience an idea about what the genre is going to be because it already sets a creepy feeling.

After all the producers and distributers have been listed and shown on screen, we see the most famous and main characters name is shown on screen.

The background is a solid black which creates a dark cold mood. The text is in white which is the opposite to back, making the text extremely visible and the viewer eye is drawn to it.

The font of the writing is like someone has badly hand written the name and it creates a eerie atmosphere also giving us a sneak peak into the genre already

Then an image if a mans had holding a razor blade appears on screen. This creates a tense atmosphere as know that razor bladed are extremely sharp and can be dangerous. The clip then plays on and we see that the razor blade is being used to cut off someone’s finger prints, this confirms the genre of the film that it is a thriller.

We then see the second actors name appear a short time after the main actor “Brad Pitt” name has appeared. This tells us that he’s also a crucial character in the film as he’s the second name to appear on screen.

The font and the background is the same as the previous actors name which appears on the screen, and has the same effects,

The title of the film is then shown on screen. The writing is in white on a black background which makes it stand up. The text then flashes big right in the middle on the screen for a split second second and then returns back to normal on the right hand side of screen.

The font of the text looks like its in lights and its also slightly blurry which fits perfectly with the genre on the film

The background is dark all the way through the opening sequence which suits the genre as it a dark themed thriller.
