❖ The acquisition of a gas cooker will lower cook times, allowing more students time to practice.

❖ This loan will enable the school to reduce tuition fees, providing the opportunity for professional education to an increased number of marginalized young adults.

❖ The development of this project will ensure the quality of culinary arts and pastry making training in Port-au-Prince. Students will learn new recipes and how to use a modern gas cooker.

❖ Students will gain valuable experience through their training at Ecole Femme 2000 so that they can prepare for the future.

❖ Young women will learn valuable skills that will help them in life.(There are 1,066,614 women from the ages of 15-24 living in Haiti).

Sustainable Business

Vocational training is ideal for any young person pursuing the development of practical skills as well as personal economical growth. The first culinary schools in Haiti open up in 1906. In 1973 there was a decreed aiming to coordinate professional training activities and improve sector productivity created the National Institute for Professional Training. In 1983 a new decree permitted the Ministry of Social Affairs to control professional training centers. Since 1906 the number of vocational training centers in Haiti has increased to about 173. As you can see this industry has grown and still is growing today.

❖ Her range of skills has made her into the brilliant and responsible business owner that she is today.

Financial Overview

❖ The school is design to offer young girl skills in Culinary Arts, Pastry Making ,Sewing, and Interior Design. Each of them pays $24 USD per month.

❖ Past sales: In 2010: $16,500 , In 2011: $19,900, In 2012: $23,800 ❖ The loan will allow the owner to have an estimated revenue increase of 20% if

granted.❖ She is able to pay off the loan because in the past years on average is made

about $20,000. The loan is only about $4,000. With that being said Ms. Marie Cedilia Maleus will have plenty of money to pay off the loan.
