Pentecost Sunday May 31, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Good morning!

This weekend we celebrate the

outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the

Apostles and our Blessed Mother in the

Upper Room. The Holy Spirit penetrates

the most unimaginable situations. He

does so today just as he did in the Acts of

the Apostles, in which He is the “main

character”. The Holy Spirit always

works to create harmony and works espe-

cially in new situations. We are certainly

facing new situation in our Sunday gather-

ings. No date are set in place but new guidelines are being presented so that we can attend mass;

maintaining 6 foot distancing and wearing face masks. There will be exchange of the sign of

peace. Communion will take place with social distancing 6 feet apart. There will be no holy water

fonts and offerings will be placed in baskets as you leave the service, walking out with social dis-

tancing as well on pew at a time. Sanitizers will be utilized. You may not be able to sit in your

favorite seat.

St. Paul adapted all during his missionary journeys to bring the Word of God. Sometimes

he preached in open places such as in Athens, other times they gathered for the Eucharist. As warm

weather returns let us pray for the successful opening our church for masses. We will let you know

the dates and more information. May the Holy Spirit help us to adapt peacefully.

and animate me in all things with Thy Spirit.�

Come Holy Spirit, comfort the sick and infected.

Protect the elderly and the handicapped in nursing homes

and developmental centers. Keep us from anxiety and panic

and enable us to work together to combat his a virus that

has come upon us as a thief in the night.

Help us to re-open our country, our churches, our small

businesses, so that we may gather safely and filled with

gratitude for all who sacrificed themselves to lead us through

this trial.
