We put the blame on the government and our elected members whenever we see or feel that our representatives are not doing their job efficiently.

But, more than 50 percent of population does not take part in the political process of our country.

Thus we have no right to blame anyone except ourselves.

We all feel that the system needs to be changed but we don’t want to take the responsibility on our shoulders.

What is Politics?...The activities associated with the governance

of a country or area.In politics, a order is the authority granted by

a constituency to act as its representativePoliticians can also be criticized for becoming

"career politicians". A politician who makes politics the source of

their income.

Reasons -the youth are not interested in the political field.First reasons: They are not understanding :

“what they are doing ?”and

“How the country is being governed?”• The youth of modern India are aware of the

problems facing our country and the world at large.

• Given a chance they would be ready to change the political condition of the country for better.

Second reason may be that young people are not given opportunities to prove themselves claiming that they are not equipped with experience to participate actively in the governance of the country.

This reason seems to be more logical seeing the monopoly of old leaders in almost all the major political parties of the country.

Old people should realize that proper development can take place only when they make way for younger people to take control of the activities.

Defects 1. What do average Indian parents want:

They want their children to be in one of the most reputed companies what ever the profession maybe, with a huge pay check. . In addition to this they want to boast about their areas position in huge corporations. So, right from the birth the children are told about the things which they would get by joining those companies.May 1, 2023 6

2. Politics filled with scams:If you could ask any average citizen about the

current state of politics, the first thing that he would say is that politics is filled with scams and full of bribery. Lets take a look at some of the famous posters that depict the current state of indian politics.

PS: There are good politicians in India too. But it is the corrupt ones that are being brought to the notice of the people.

3. No Real role models

As said before there are good and honest politicians in India. But, no one has ever reached a height that an youth could lookup to or aspire to be their role model. This is one of the main reasons for youths to ignore politics

4. Peer PressureAnother important thing is the peer pressure

(not sure if this is the correct word to be used, :P). Let us suppose that we aspire to become a politician but what you could see is that all your batch mates would be earning several thousands of bucks few could be earning in lakhs too.

These are quite a few parameters that affect the public youths to enter politics. This list is in fact an exhaustive list to be mentions here.

Role of Youth in PoliticsIndia has large productive and young population as

her asset.There are a few things which I would like to suggest.1. Retirement age 2. Literacy3. Criminal background As for the youth of our country, they can contribute

in more ways than just contesting elections. Much can be done in areas like educating people, raising awareness about various social ills, and many other areas.

What needs to be done :- Reservation for youth should be created

in the political parties and in the parliament as well. The children and relatives of the politicians should be excluded from this reservation benefits.

Political participation of youth should be beyond mere casting of vote. Young people must be involved in the process of elections as election observers, poll station workers etc.

Youth should be given opportunity to do internship in the parliament.May 1, 2023 12

Political awareness should be given to the students of schools and universities and they should be encouraged to participate in the politics.

Student wings of the political parties need to be given more strength and priority.

Skills training has to be provided to the young politicians by the experienced politicians.

Political awareness campaigns must ensure that young people are turning out in the elections to cast their vote.

Student wings of the political parties have to be to transparent.

Youth led community development programs and volunteering organizations must be supported by the government.

There is a need to form local level youth councils.

Youth groups should be allowed to visit the national parliaments.

Youth movements should be dealt in a respectable way and their voices need to be heard in the parliament.

What other countries are doing In Uganda, five seats are reserved for

youth representatives in the parliament. ‘National Youth Parliament’ in Srilanka

influences National youth policies. Youth enrolment campaign in Australia

educates young voters with fun activities.

We are running a campaign to start using the word राज्यनीति� instead of राजनीति� as a translation of "politics" in general parlance. We believe we started with a wrong name which has defined the semantics of how people in the field are behaving now a days. Had we used correct translation from the beginning, we didn't have a need for this question today.

For the most part, there is no such thing as 'honest politics' in India. No honest man (or woman) with announce of self respect or dignity will enter such dirty politics. And people who try to be honest in politics are crushed even before than can make their presence felt by the RICH and corrupt politicians (yes, these tow almost always go together), because in India everything is about money.

Most Secret of PoliticsThe country desperately needs some young

leaders who personify energy, enthusiasm, morality, and diligence.

No doubt we have progressed a lot in the last 62 years but the development pace would have been completely different had some young torch bearers led this process of development.

. Nowadays we have only a handful of young leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, Varun Gandhi etc, but they are in the political scenario because they belong to influential political families.

In our country the chief posts are mostly occupied by the politicians above 50 years of age.

The Person in the picture is Nanaji Deshmukh who worked under the regime of Moraji Desai.

He was born in 1916,He retired at the age of 60,that is he retired voluntarily…

It is us, the generation X (Next), Y (Youth) and Z (Zealous), who can resuscitate India. As the new Airtel advertisement puts it “One act of defiance- can spark a revolution”. The Youth has to become a part of the politics to facilitate the reconstruction of a better society and a country. Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. Is the Shining India ready for politicians who are educated and eager for a Revolution? CONCLUSION If we want to see a better India, it is time to

take charge. We have to build a foundation now for a

prosperous future. Unless youth feel concerned and gets

involved in politics at all stages, we cannot expect a nation to grow.

Remember, it is not good for a nation when its citizens only complain and expect someone else to fix their problems.
