Virtual Learning Environments ~ Preparing students to personalize their own learning
“By pairing personalized learning and technology, a teacher can help students learn what they need
to learn through the topics that interest them most” (Richardson, 2012).
To provide our students with a Virtual Learning Environment, lessons are available to educators through the Advanced Studies
and Gifted Learners Library of Virtual Lessons. Teachers may select lessons to provide curriculum differentiation and Virtual
Learning Opportunities for their students. Within those lessons are collections of tasks and activities for students to complete online.
These activities will provide students with skills in the use of technology, organization, note taking, inquiry and collaboration.
