When you choose to have your reception at R amside Hall, you can be safe in the knowledge that it doesn’t matter if you’re holding an intimate gathering for a handful of guests, or a grand event with hundreds of family and friends. Whatever the size of your party, you’ll receive the same level of expert care and guidance to support you ever y step of the way.Our venue offers a whole host of lavish function spaces - our largest accommodating up to 500 guests - ensuring that not only will you be spoilt for choice, but you can also relax, knowing that you really are in safe hands.And, of course, you don’t just have to hold your reception with us, as we’re licensed for ceremonies too!

Civil Ceremonies at Ramside Hall Hotel

R amside Hall is licensed for civil marriages. These ceremonies are conducted by a Registrar from Durham County Council. Please note that the booking for the date is made with R amside Hall, but you must also agree a date and ceremony details separately with the registrar on 0300 026 3263.

Function Suites

Bishops SuiteWith its own dedicated entrance and large reception area, resplendent

with a magnificent Austrian cr ystal chandelier, the Bishops Suite creates a spectacular welcome for all your guests.

Consisting of the Neville, Beaumont and Hatfield Suites, the multiple configurations for this room make for endless possibilities. The

combination of suites can seat from 80 to 400 for the wedding breakfast, and up to 500 for the evening reception.

The BallroomOur beautiful chandeliered ballroom is the traditional wedding venue,

offering its own private reception area, built-in stage and dance floor. We can accommodate from 80 to 180 for the wedding breakfast, and up to

250 for the evening reception.

Summer Marquee We have a fully-lined Marquee during the summer months - from May

until mid-October. The Marquee offers direct access into our gardens for your drinks reception. Lined with Champagne-coloured silk and dressed

with trellising, this truly is the perfect venue for a midsummer wedding, whether you choose a formal meal, summer BBQ or just an evening

reception. The Marquee can also be enlarged for bigger events, and we would be

happy to provide a quote for this.

Fountain RoomAn ideal location for Civil Ceremonies and smaller weddings, the

Fountain Room is traditionally decorated and enjoys views over our delightful garden. The Fountain Room can accommodate a minimum of

45 to a maximum of 60 guests for the wedding breakfast.

Green Room The perfect venue for the more intimate wedding breakfast, the Green

Room can accommodate a minimum of 10 up to a maximum of 20 guests.

ClubhouseAlso located within the hotel grounds, the Golf Clubhouse is the perfect

party venue. Catering for up to 120 guests, the Clubhouse boasts informal seating, dance floor and private bar facilities.

Food & Drink

Food and drink plays an important part in any wedding day at R amside Hall, and we understand that this is a ver y personal occasion. With this in mind, please consider our menus as suggestions from which you

can devise your own bespoke package – alternatively, talk to us about any ideas that you have to make your

special day memorable. A wedding tasting is available for the happy couple to aid in choosing the ideal menu for your day, and

our suppliers have been carefully selected to ensure we only use the finest and freshest local produce. We

have developed an enviable reputation for consistently producing high-quality, well-presented meals for you

and your guests to enjoy. Please see enclosed our food and beverage menus.

Accommodation

We have 127 bedrooms available for your guests, including four-poster, deluxe doubles, premier doubles, two junior suites (with Juliet balconies overlooking the golf course or with French doors leading on to a patio), two larger suites, and - the ultimate in luxur y - our Celebration Suite. Here, you can enjoy your own spacious lounge with a large luxur y bathroom boasting a walk-in shower as well as a unique, free-standing copper bath.

In addition to the hotel bedrooms, the R amside Farmhouse, built in the early 1800s, provides five bedrooms, sleeping up to ten people in total. The house has all the facilities of a modern home for your comfort – even with a traditional Aga cooker. It’s a great option for your wedding guests.

We do ask that your wedding guests book their accommodation direct with our reservations team, who will be happy to assist with any specific requirements.

As well as providing the perfect setting for your wedding day, R amside Hall Hotel also boasts one of the finest spa facilities in the countr y, right here in the grounds.

The Spa at R amside is a state-of-the art leisure experience combining luxur y treatments with serene settings for the ver y best in body and mind relaxation.

Pre–wedding pampering can be arranged in the Beauty Snug, complete with manicure and pedicure facilities and a make-up station, while indulgent ESPA aromatherapy treatments take place in the 14 tranquil suites. For the bride-to-be and the whole wedding party - this is spa heaven.

Take a dip in the 25-metre swimming pool, the large hydropool and the vitality pool in the outdoor spa garden, before you dine in the pan-Asian Fusion Restaurant. At the Spa at R amside, your sensor y journey from start to finish will leave you feeling splendid.

Booking Requirements

We can provisionally hold a date for a maximum of 14 days with no obligation; this will allow you the time to check with all relevant authorities and necessar y suppliers to ensure their availability. We will send you a letter along with a wedding contract to confirm we are holding the date.

In order to confirm your booking, we would require a non-refundable deposit of £750, along with the signed wedding contract.

We will contact you approximately four months prior to your wedding in order to arrange an appointment and discuss your day in greater detail. Also, at this stage, an interim payment of 50% is required of the expected costs of the wedding, taking into account the deposit paid.

After this meeting we will prepare an estimated cost for your day. The balance will be due 28 days prior to the wedding; final numbers for catering charges are due to the hotel seven days prior.
