Start(up)

Start(up) is a mutual discovery service. Initially we willspend two hours with you either face-to-face (if practical)or via Skype. After those two hours we shall decide if wewould spend another two days with you for a morein-depth discovery. The outcome of the discovery wouldbe a plan and recommendation of other services oractivities the young new venture should undertake.The focus of Start(up) is on the technology and thebusiness opportunity of the new venture. We can also deliver the start(up) service against paymentor in combination with other services against equity.

Team(up)Team(up) is an assessment service (2-3 days) of the newventure'sskills for success. The analysis is on the people'sskills in multiple areas, but also on the team's total skilllevel.We will make recommendations of enhancing theteam's skills (educational services) but also ofering theopportunity to enhance the team with advisors andmentors from our pool of over 100 experts who couldsupport you along your journey for a limited time.Team(up) assessment service is ofered againstpayment, or against equity (only in combination withother services).By nature of the ofering the recommendations will bevery individual to the new venture and team.

Get TractionGet Traction is about getting out of your new venture to fnd new customers, tune yourproduct and understand “your” market. You will be working on your business modelassumptions in the real world. Prove you can build a high potential company in the globalmarket by actually doing it.Only fve selected teams will be working to get traction for 10 weeks in Silicon Valley, theheart of technology entrepreneurship.Each team must have 1 or 2 founders in Silicon Valley. The rest of the team with at least 3members can be located outside of Silicon Valley.The Get Traction approach involves a lot of hard work for the founders. Each team has toprove it can execute towards an ambitious vision, is hungry for success and ready to takeover the universe. Entrepreneurship EducationThis course has been put together to provide students with a high-level overview ofEntrepreneurship. You cannot teach someone to be an entrepreneur, but you can teachthe skills needed to become one. It aims to inspire you and give you a perspective onwhat life as an entrepreneur is like. If you hope to start a company this course will helpto prepare to fully-utilize the resources available and maximize your potential forsuccess. The course also provides students perspectives by prominent entrepreneursfrom organizations at various stages of development and representing a broad range ofindustries and topics. Entrepreneurs speak on how they created their organizations andthe lessons they learned. A major element is also creating, preparing and presenting abusiness plan based on a technical innovation.Participating in a business plan competition is another program element.The modules are always a lively mix of theory, insights into industry examples andpersonal practice of the content. At the end of this lecture series you will have a broadunderstanding of entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurship may become your careerof choice !Part 1 – The Concepts of Entrepreneurship and Technology EntrepreneurshipTechnology Entrepreneurship is flling a gap in entrepreneurship education. Whilestudents of business schools are often educated in the principles of entrepreneurship, this isnot so for the technical disciplines. Yet, the technical disciplines are where mostinvention happens. Students creating new companies out of technical inventions werepreviously amateur entrepreneurs (lacking formal training). This module is focused onflling this gap and to create professional entrepreneurs.Part 2 – Markets & CustomersIt is the technical students that typically innovate and during a very fragile phase arerunning the new venture, but with a very limited understanding of markets andcustomers. They assume that a "cool" technological invention will sell itself. Manyexamples out of the ".com era" show that in most cases the technical students wereunable to address market and customer needs and thus failed.Part 3 – Innovation and Innovation ManagementThis module discusses the diferent concepts of closed and open innovation, where theyhave been successful and where they have failed and why. It discusses the innovator’sdilemma in managing sustainable innovations within a company and what efectdisruptive technologies may have. It discusses technology "S" curves and potentialstrategies around innovating from inside and acquiring from outside. At the end itfocuses on the dangers but also opportunities of globalization on entrepreneurship.Above is describing a formal Masters level Education Program as lectured byinnova.ventures in numerous Universities around Europe.While existing entrepreneurs may not anymore be interested in formal education,custom programs can be developed to enhance their knowledge in specifc areas.

Seed FundingWe stimulate and enable people and organizations to creativelysearch for breakthrough ideas for the new technologies,products and business value. Based on the outcome of ourservices Start(up) and Team(up) we will (case by case) ofer tocover some of our service oferings as seed funding. Above andbeyond in very special cases we will fund the incubation phaseof the selected innovative projects for the development andcommercialization of the selected projects.
