ABOUT US

RUNNING FOR THOSE WHO CAN’T

with the knowledge that 100% of all entry fees and donations goes

directly to cutting- edge research projects. The more donations we receive,

the more research projects can be funded.

IT’S A RACE FOR EVERYONE

including runners and wheelchair users of all abilities, from beginners to profes-

sional athletes; everyone runs side by side for those who can’t.

A UNIQUE RACE FORMATfeaturing the Catcher Car, which is the “moving finish line” of the Wings for Life World Run.

The runners get a head start, and 30 minutes later the Catcher Car begins pursuit. Once it passes a runner, his or her race is over. There’s nothing like the adrenaline surge

when the Catcher Car approaches!

SPINAL CORD INJURY means more than being unable to walk.

It is one of the most devastating injuries and can have a large number of health-related

complications, including chronic pain and bowel and bladder dysfunction.

THE WINGS FOR LIFE WORLD RUN

is a truly global running movement that takes place simultaneously all around the world. Participants start at exactly the same time (11am UTC), no matter if it’s

sunny or raining, day or night.

WINGS FOR LIFEis a not-for-profit foundation with a single

mission: to find a cure for spinal cord injury. We fund life-changing research projects and clinical trials at renowned

universities and institutes around the globe.

MILLIONS OF PEOPLEaround the globe are paralyzed due to

a traumatic spinal cord injury. Car accidents and falls are the main causes.

It can happen to anyone at any time.
