1 Peter: A Living Hope in Christ By Jen Wilkin Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers' true identity in Christ and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. We will look to God our Light and Christ our Advocate as He gives us confidence, showing us what it means to put love into action in our everyday lives. This is a "flexible" inductive study that will guide us through the riches of abiding in Christ, and a great introduction to how to do an inductive study. Precept Upon Precept: Deuteronomy In this Precepts class, we will be studying Deuteronomy, the last of the 5 books of Moses. Deuteronomy is the book Jesus quoted most often. What standards of behavior were laid out for God's people? How do these relate to us today? In class, we will have lesson discussion time, one hour videos, and break into small groups for prayer.
