What Is the Summer Youth Employment
Program?
The Summer Youth Employment Program provides jobs and work readiness training for eligible youth age 14 – 20 years old.

What kinds of jobs are available?
Some jobs at day camps and youth centers
involve working with children.
Some jobs involve office or clerical work.
Some jobs involve indoor custodial work.
Some jobs involve outdoor maintenance work.
Some jobs are on construction sites.
Some jobs are even available on farms.

How does one apply to participate in the Summer Youth Employment Program?
Get information and download an application from: www.ulsterworks.com
Applications are available by April or May on the web site.
Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis – so get your application in early.
If you don’t have Internet access, you can visit the Ulster Works One Stop Center at 651 Development Court in Kingston to pick up an application.
