Hypertufa for your Garden

Instructor: Lynn Brammer

In this hands-on class we’ll provide all the necessary materials and know-how for you to make a beau-tiful hypertufa garden planter to take home and enjoy for many years. Constructed from peat moss, perlite, and portland cement, a hypertufa planter is lightweight and extremely versatile; many plants will grow well in them, including all types of suc-culents. Completely weatherproof, these pots work indoors or out and can freeze and thaw naturally as a result of their porous nature. The hypertufa con-tainer’s beauty, which resembles stone, increases when left outside to endure the elements, eventu-ally attracting lichens and mosses. $20.
