YEMANJA, banda de músicos de Brasil, Venezuela, Argentina y Mallorca, surgió con el fin de difundir música de gran calidad con ritmos y poesía hechos en Brasil. El grupo mezcla versiones de diversos artistas de la música brasileña con composiciones propias.

YEMANJA, a band of musicians from Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina and Mallorca, emerged with the purpose of spreading high quality music with rhythms and poetry made in Brazil. The group mixes versions of various Brazilian music artists with their own compositions.

PEDRO ROSA guitarra & vozEs un artista brasileño apasionado por la diversidad rítmica, armónica y melódica de su país. En las composiciones y arreglos de Pedro se deja ver un legado de maestros que indudablemente han dejado una gran influencia en su piel, entre otros Heitor Villa-lobos, Guinga, Tom Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Dorival Caymmi, Gilberto Gil, Sergio Santos y Djavan.

XEMA BORRÁS trombónEs profesor de trombón y Jefe de Departamento de Jazz del Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears, es director de su Big Band, del Brass Ensemble y de la Jam Session Mensual de este conservatorio. También es colaborador en la Orquesta de Radio Televisión Española, Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia y la Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao, entre otras.

JULIO ARCALÁ piano & vozNacido en Buenos Aires y de formación clásica, su repertorio incluye la Música Popular Brasileña, el folklore argentino, el tango y los ritmos latinoameri-canos. Es compositor de canciones y de música para películas y teatro. Participó en el Festival de Jazz de Copenhague y los conciertos en Radio France Inter-national. En 2016 recorrió España con la Orquesta del BAFA (Ballet de Arte Folklórico Argentino).

ROGERIO SANTOS percusiónNatural de Salvador de Bahia, es un percusionista muy versátil y dinámico. En su trayectoria profesio-nal cabe destacar que ha formado parte de batuca-das junto a Carlinhos Brown o al mismísimo Michael Jackson, con quien grabó un vídeo musical en su ciudad natal. Rogerio es miembro de varias bandas, entre otras Rumba Katxai, con quien hace actuacio-nes por Europa.

PEDRO ROSA guitar & vocalsHe is a Brazilian artist who is passionate about the rhythmic, harmonious and melodic diversity of his country. Pedro’s compositions and arrangements show a legacy of masters who undoubtedly have left a great influence on him, among others Heitor Villa-lobos, Guinga, Tom Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Dorival Caymmi, Gilberto Gil, Sergio Santos and Djavan.

XEMA BORRÁS tromboneHe is professor of trombone and Head of Department of Jazz of the Superior Conservatori of the Balearic Islands, he is also director of the Big Band, the Brass Ensemble and the Jam Session of this conservatory. Xema is also a collaborator in the Spanish Radio Orchestra, the Balearic Islands Symphonic Orchestra, the Galicia Symphony Orchestra and the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, among others.

JULIO ARCALÁ piano & vocalsBorn in Buenos Aires with a classical background, his repertoire includes Brazi-lian Popular Music, Argentine folklore, tango and Latin American rhythms. He is a composer of songs and music for films and theater. Julio participated in the Co-penhagen Jazz Festival and the concerts at Radio France International. In 2016 he toured Spain with the BAFA Orchestra (Ballet de Arte Folklórico Argentino).

ROGERIO SANTOS percussionBorn in Salvador de Bahia, Rogerio is a versatile and dynamic percussionist. In his professional career, it is worth noting that he has been part of the “batu-cadas” along with Carlinhos Brown or Michael Jackson himself, with whom he recorded a music video in his hometown. Rogerio is a member of several bands, among others Rumba Katxai, with whom he performs in Europe.
