TopicThis half term we would have been learning all about food, farming and the environment.This week we are going to look at the journey our food makes before it gets onto our plates.You need to choose one of your favourite food items (an ingredient, not a dish) and research its journey from being made, to being in the shops, to arriving on your plate. You can present this however you like – as a PowerPoint, as a word document, as a diagram – you choose!

During this time, please get creative! Create lots of art work and share. Remember to stay active and drink plenty of water. Complete the PE activities sent out on parent mail.

Topic: Food Journeys We are beginning our topic of food, farming and the environment by looking at where our food comes from.

Read through the PowerPoint presentaiton called ‘field to fork’ and have a go at the activity below

Activity:I would like you to think about one food that you eat reguarly (a food item, not a dish). Create the food’s journey complete with pictures and descriptions of what happens at each stage. How tou present this is up to you. You can create a powerpoint, a word document, a drawing with descriptions – it is up to you!
