Geography – This week we are focusing on a challenge I have been planning with my friends for a number of years now!It is called the Three Peaks challenge – it focuses on climbing the three highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland in one day!Today, our activity will be to:

- Label the three mountains on a map of the UK- Use an atlas to find out the height of the mountains using spot heights.- Work out distance between each peak ‘as the crow flies’ by using google maps

This site will guide you to start after that you’re on your own, search and find your answers via google.https://www.threepeakschallenge.uk/national-three-peaks-challenge/

DT –Today, I would like you to sketch out your design for your bird houses.Include the costs from last week and the materials used to hold your houses together. You can be creative but also think realistically, what would be easiest and cheapest.

Examples can be found here: https://www.google.com/search?q=birdhouse+sketches&tbm=isch&hl=en-US&ved=2ahUKEwiF75SzjYLqAhUSNxoKHTtsCx4QBXoECAEQKw&biw=1349&bih=625

RE – This term we will focus on women in the Old Testament, today focusing on Ruth.Ruth’s story is truly one of redemption, generosity and God’s providence. Although she has her own book in the Bible, split into four chapters, her story is beautifully told and illustrated in this superb video which I want you to watch:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0h1eoBeR4JkActivity-Watch the videoTell me what was God’s role in Ruth’s story? Why is God not mentioned very much in this story? What do you think is the key message to take from Ruth’s life?

PSHE – For your PSHE tasks this term we will be focusing on ourselves and how you can look after ‘you’ during lockdown!Game – Watch the video how many different photos did you see here? Which was your favourite why?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zkjQVh5KmQ.

Activity – I want you to think about your lockdown experience.Add to your mini booklet today and write in things that you miss about your life before lockdown.

It’s important to remember the things we enjoy doing and what we miss as it defines who we are. It brings us hope and joy knowing we will be able to do these things again in the future.Music – Something totally different this week. I have always been interested in how music can be performed in unique and interesting ways. None more so than the ‘Blue man group’ who are known worldwide for some crazy drumming skills. I want you to watch this video today and then complete the dice game below based on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOLBn8GKBlA

Tasks - Throw The Dice game- whichever number the dice lands on you should complete the corresponding task from the list below. Why not make a video or take a photo of your work to share with your teacher?

1 Take Action! - imagine you are a film or game maker, how would you use this piece of music? What scenery would you need? What would be happening on the screen? Devise a timeline marking the exact points where specific actions should happen. You might even want to use a free movie-making app to film the action. 2 Get Arty! - listen to the piece all the way through, perhaps with your eyes closed. What images, colours or textures best match the music? How can you draw, paint, model or build these? Take a photo of the finished masterpiece.3 Compose! - using instruments you have created (shakers, pans and spoons etc) or real instruments, take one idea from the piece as a starting point. It might be a repeating pattern or melody, or a sense of quietness or busyness and then create your own short piece of music based on this idea. Give your composition a title. 4 Write Now! - decide whether you are going to write a poem, story or newspaper article about the piece of music. This can be as short or as long as you like, but make sure you capture the heart of the music in every single word. 5 Start Moving! - move in time with the music as various animals might, impersonate the performer or conductor, or make up your own actions or dance. How can you reflect the character of the music in your movements? 6 Bonus Six! - take your pick from any of the activities numbered one to five.https://www.random.org/dice/?num=1
