RIBBON CUTTING HELD

MARSHFIELD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY /// NEWSLETTER JULY 2020

MACCI was pleased to cut the ribbon for Curiosities, a new business, located in the TBF building on the corner of Arnold Street and Central Avenue in Marshfield.

Once Upon a Time there was a little girl who became intrigued and interested in history, antiques, decorating, artistry and different cultures.

After some time of being an avid collector of all things curious and interesting from many places, periods of time, and decorative influences, it was time to break out a dusty old dream. The dream involved working with people, beautiful and fun things, and using the experience of years in retail for numerous other businesses with great results. This girl who is now a woman; with almost grown children, a supportive husband, and plenty of wonderful and encouraging friends, finally caught a big break!! The opportunity to operate her own brick and mortar menagerie of treasures was perfectly timed and enthusiastically embraced. God had made a WAY, where there really seemed to be NO WAY!

Marla Hawks is that woman. She has been a Marshfield resident since 1994 (*born in Sunny Sarasota, Florida-don’t ask!) and destined to stay put with roots going deep in this community. She not only appreciates this opportunity to finally do what she’s dreamed about, but also appreciates the supportive, welcoming atmosphere and people of the Marshfield area. Stop in to see Marla, whose business is located inside The Total Body Fitness Building. She’s eager to meet her fellow nostalgic artistic souls who crave the new and different, as well as the aged and treasured things offered in her store.

Bring a friend and plan to stay a while. There is a lot to see and more items being regularly added!

CURIOSITIES Features: Antiques, collectibles, books (*old and new; and some in between), art and decor, clothing, and jewelry all priced fairly to be easy on your wallet, and guaranteed to peak your curiosity!

Support Marshfield’s restaurants

Many Marshfield restaurants and eateries are back open to the public and are ready to serve you, your friends, and family. They have put precautions in place and have added to their cleaning regimen to help ensure a comfortable atmosphere for you to enjoy a meal out. Many are still doing curbside, carry out, and delivery to serve you up right the way you prefer!
