ServiceOn XMP1 (SOX) – Applications (1/2)
Connectivity Management: With the SOX Connectivity
management, cross connects can be configured through the
network at different levels.
Alarm Management: Alarms of network elements will be
displayed with related graphical symbols. Active alarms and
alarm history will be displayed as list in SOX.
SNMP Interface: Single alarms as well as state changes can
be forwarded as SNMP traps.
Performance Management: SOX polls periodically the
performance data, stored in the network elements and saves
it in the data base.
Applications Tech. Data Content Introduction Benefits Requirements
ServiceOn XMP1 (SOX) – Applications (2/2)
Reporting: SOX provides predefined reports for alarm,
assembly, lines and trails
Analyses and visualisation: Additional information can be
integrated in the graphical display, e.g.: path of a connection,
line load, clock tree or data communication channels.
Path Redundancy: For data and management channels a
alternative route will be configured automatically in case of
failure
