XBITS (XML Book Industry Transaction Standards) is a Working Group of IDEAlliance and a BISG committee that is designing and maintaining the standard XML (Extensible Markup Language) eDocuments to facilitate bi-directional electronic data exchanges between a diverse trading partners comprised of book publishers, manufacturers, paper mills, and component suppliers. The XBITS electronic transaction standard is based upon the papiNet Standard which is open, free and easy to adopt, providing common benefits to supply chain partners supporting both traditional and digital print manufacturing. In this webcast, Diane Degener, Co-Chair of the XBITS Committee, will explain how to best implement the XBITS standard in your business and answer any questions you may have about XBITS best practices. What is the XBITS Standard?

The XBITS electronic transaction standard is based upon the well-implemented papiNet Standard originally created for the paper manufacturing order process and has been expanded for use by other industries.

The Standard is open, free and easy to adopt, providing common benefits to supply chain partners and designed to facilitate real time exchange of information between business partners.
