SUSPENSION) ORDER 2014NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council is to make anOrder under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,for the purpose of holding a relevant event (Ironman Wales). The effect of theOrder is to impose the following temporary restrictions:-i) Prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from entering or proceeding along thoselengths of road contained in Schedule 1 to this notice.ii) Prohibit the leading or driving of horses, horse drawn carriages or any otheranimal along those lengths of road contained in Schedule 1 to this notice.iii) Suspend one way traffic flow on those lengths of road contained in Schedule2 to this notice.iv) Impose one way traffic flow along those lengths of road contained inSchedule 3 to this notice, and in the direction specified.v) Prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading along those lengths ofroad contained in Schedule 4 to this notice.iv) Suspend the 7.5t weight restriction along those lengths of road contained inSchedule 5 to this notice.The restrictions are necessary to enable the holding of the ‘Ironkids’ event onSaturday 13th September, and the ‘Ironman Wales’ triathlon event on Sunday14th September 2014.The Order will not apply to those vehicles or cycles associated with the eventor emergency service vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained and limitedvehicular access will be available under the supervision or direction of an eventtraffic management officer or where prior arrangements have been made.The Order will come into effect on 12th September 2014 and has receivedconsent from the Welsh Government to remain in force for a duration of 4days.The restrictions or suspensions imposed by the Order will only apply duringsuch times and to such extent as indicated by the placing of the relevant trafficsigns.
