Objective(s): By the end of the lesson, Students will be able to…. (SWBAT) - Show understanding about present perfect by reading for inference and identifying usage in a text about roller coaster.- To learn the vocabulary in the text and memorize the meaning of each vocabulary.

- Reading by using skim and scan to answer true/false or not mention from the question

I assume the students already know: The vocabulary related to the text that Sts needed to understand the text; understanding about usage of present perfect and they have known about riding a roller coaster.

I anticipate students will have problems with: reading

To solve/avoid these problems I plan to: explain clearly about present perfect usage; show an example of sentences. Give techniques in reading.

How will I assess the students?

Monitoring and gathering feedback during the reading activities (True/false or not mentioned Activity); students will gain the detail texts and use the target language on their own language and check students’ score form their worksheets and answers.

Raise Me Up Activities

Reading the text about roller coaster T divides students into 6 groups then stay in their home group. Each group send a representative to answer the question by raise the tags True, False or Not mentioned.

The people who raise up first and answer correctly will get 2 points. The people who answer late but correctly will get 1 point and the people who answer wrong will have no point.

Jeopardy ReadingSts stay in the same group. Each group sends a representatives to rais hand up The group who raises hand up first will have a chance to choose the point and answer a question on the screen. Send a new representatives to do the same in next rounds** The points depend level of difficulty of the questions.

Making Sts practice a lot about Reading Comprehension that sts will know about what the text say or does.

Challenge them to find the main idea of the text or the story.

Students exchange the things that they have understood about the story. When they are work in group they can share and help each other. Moreover, they will have fun with Jeopardy Game that is very challenge and funny

I am a Spy ActivityTeacher lets students work individually and set the atmosphere of the classroom as the spy’s situation Then T give the mission for Sts.

T allows Sts to interview after reading story at the beginning of the class and do all of mission in the worksheet.

Which sts complete all of mission, he/she comes to presents what he/she have done about the mission.

Students can realize and analyze what they have read. Allow students to use their creativity along with English knowledge.

Allow Sts a chance to use their schema or their background knowledge to answer the question

Allow students integrate all of English Skills
