July has come in with a bang!
Hope everyone had time to enjoy the 4th celebra-tions. This month will come and go and we now have to look forward to our next big event: The 2019 Spoonbread Festival. Everyone seems to be working hard on getting everything ready and this might be our best show, yet. As all of you know, the golf tourney was a great success and although it had to be postponed, it was a great decision and the weather could not have been better. Everyone had a great time.
Spoonbread Festival Vendor Pre-registration Deadline
August 1, 2019
David was at the last spoonbread meeting, but this year we are all going to have to pitch in and lighten the load that David usually carries. Please contact Greg Powell or one of the other committee members and see what you can do to help. If we all pitch in, then the work to be done will be easier for every-one and we will get everything done in a timely manner.
If you are on any committee, please get your group together and then let Re-becca, in the office, know what you are doing or planning. We need to get some of this wrapped up and move on to our next project.
The one thing that we need to hope for is a beautiful weekend for our spoon-bread event. If we can escape the rainy weather, would it not be great!
Make plans to attend our next membership meeting. It will be held at Nola’s home at 6pm. There will be an email for sign up. I had a great time last year. It was a beautiful evening and everyone who came had a great time.
Everyone is busy with vacations, work and getting together with family in the summer. It is very hard to get our groups together, especially now. Please try to mark your calendars early, so Chamber dates can be worked around, if at all possible. We need your input and our board needs you present, on meet-ing days.
Here’s to a great rest of 2019 and a successful event in September!
