27th November - ADventure Surfing Lessons – Learn to surf like the pros… or at least look the
part. Boards and rash guards provided. Lessons
are only $48 each. (ODR) 0630-1130.
3rd December - Adventure Hike/
Whale Watch – Hike the west or North side to Kaena Point to enjoy the view of whales with a
good chance of seeing monk seals and spinner
dolphins. (ODR) 0630-1300. $15.00
5th, 12th & 19th December - Open Water Diver
Certification – Receive an exciting one-week long course that will award you a LIFETIME cer-
tification as a PADI Open Water SCUBA Diver.
Courses run Monday thru Sunday (OC). $229.99.

18th December - ADventure Surfing Lessons – Learn to surf like the pros… or at least look the
part. Rash guards provided. (ODR) 0630-1130. Les-
sons are only $48 each.
Please check the DFMWR website at: www.himwr.com for addi-tional calendars and information. Activities, dates/times are tentative and subject to change. All ADventures will depart from/return to the Outdoor Recrea-
tion (ODR) Center, Bldg. #556 unless otherwise noted. * Registrations & Payment required by last business
day prior to program departure. Program cancellations must be made NLT day before activity. *NOTE: Outdoor Recreation is now able to take Equipment Checkout Center reservations/ Program registrations via phone
with a credit card payment. Available to all FMWR eligible
guests already registered in RecTrac database. Please call the
Outdoor Rec. Center, 655-0143, for more information or to reg-
ister. *Min. 50% deposit required for all Equipment Center res-
ervations.
100% payment is required for all Program registrations.

Freedom Tower FREE
Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and celebrate the season with festive
holiday traditions. Fun for all ages!
Festivites include:
4:30 - 7 p.m. - Free inflatables, holiday snacks, crafts and a spectacu-
lar kid's clinic, sponsored by the Home Depot. Purchase an "ono" din-
ner from one of the many private organizations' fundraisers.
5 - 6:30 p.m. - Special visit from Santa with photo opportunities. Kids
will receive a special gift for the season, sponsored by USO of Hawaii
and MWR!
7 p.m. - The 42nd Annual Tower Lighting Ceremony.
7:15 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. - The premier Air Force entertainment showcase
"Tops in Blue." Alternate rain location: Hangar 35.
Parking is available within walking distance in the surrounding area.
Shuttle services will be available to transport patrons to the event from
4 - 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 - 9:45 p.m. Pick up locations will include the Me-
morial Theater parking lot and the Burger King parking lot (near the
Hickam BX).
