The fall season is well underway. You will see many new episodes throughout this month’s guide. This month kicks off with the return of Call The Midwife for its 10th season on WITF along with the 6th season of Grantchester on MASTERPIECE.

This month you won’t want to miss Just a Girl Who Decided to Go For It on American Masters. This two-hour biography on Rita Moreno explores how Moreno defied her humble upbringing and racism to become one of a select group of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winners.

October also features four new specials from our friends at Antiques Roadshow. On October 4, we’ll learn what happened after the cameras stop rolling through all-new interviews with fan-favorite appraisers. The following week we’ll celebrate influential icons of our collective and recent memory with treasures like a Fred & Joanne Rogers trolley and card, and Julia Child's copper pans.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Among the featured documentaries is The Cure following three courageous women as they navigate their way through medical fact and fiction while challenging the multi-billion-dollar cancer industrial complex to find their way to health, hope, and healing. The Cure broadcasts on October 10.

Later this month we’ll begin a four-part series illuminating the veteran experience with a stunning range of voices from today and across the arc of American history. American Veteran traces the veteran experience from the citizen-soldiers returning from the American Revolution to today’s warrior class. They tell a deeply moving story, highlighting personal

remembrances, drawing civilian viewers into an unfamiliar culture. The series gets started October 26 and continues into November.

For something different on Halloween, World’s Greatest Cemeteries highlights hidden gems with forensic scientists, historians and even horticulturists to share true stories of romance, war, espionage

and intrigue. We’ll feature a mini-marathon of episodes beginning at 1pm on Halloween.
