Safe Sitter is a medically accurate program that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children. This class teaches safe and nurturing child-care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergencies.

Winter Hiking SeriesSunday, Nov. 27 • 1:30 p.m.

Healthy Adams County’s Physical Fitness Task Force kicks off its winter hiking series at Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve. The hike will be on Baker’s Knob Trail and will take you to one of the highest elevations at Strawberry Hill. As you ascend the slopes of Baker’s Knob, you will enter a unique dry forest. At the summit, relax on a rock outcrop and enjoy the view of the Adams County countryside far

below. The trail has some steep uphill sections. A trained naturalist will guide this hike and point out interesting sights and sounds along the way. The trail begins and ends with hot chocolate at the historic log cabin.
