WINE OF THE MONTH

With fantastic new wines coming on the scene every month accompanied by great stories, unique wine making techniques and newly found flavour profiles of the wine world we felt it was not only important but also our responsibility to bring these to you in the best way we could.

Therefore, in partnership with our wine specialists we have put together a line of new additions to the wine world and we will be featuring them on a monthly basis.

Name: Cantavida Cabernet Sauvignon

Origin: Central Valley, Chile

Tasting notes: It is an elegant and complex wine, presenting a deep ruby colour, black pepper and cherry aromas. It has an attractive palate, with ripe tannins and juicy fruit.

The Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon became internationally recognized through its prominence in Bordeaux wines where it is often blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. From France, the grape spread across Europe and to the New World where it found new homes in places like the central Valley in Chile.

Price: THB 980++

THE DIRECTOR’S CHOICE

For wine connoisseurs that are reluctant to try Riesling due to its historically sweet character, I urge you to take a gamble on our Pewsey Vale Vineyard Riesling. Considering the vineyard was the first planted in the Eden Valley, South Australia in 1847 it is little wonder we recommend this wine. The palate is beautifully balanced with acidity, herbaceous-ness and tropical fruits driven by some big grapefruit notes. A distinctly different wine when compared to historical old world Riesling’s.

Price: THB 1,550++
