The One Day of the YearWhat is the meaning of Anzac Day? For war veterans like Alf Cook and Wacka Dawson, it’s the chance to commemorate history and conjure national pride. For Alf’s son Hughie, Anzac Day flies the flag for a very different reality, one that brings the dignity of our diggers to its knees with one too many down the pub.

The One Day of the Year explores father–son conflict and is one of the great family dramas of Australian theatre. On the centenary of the Gallipoli landing, Alan Seymour’s landmark play returns with a fresh take on this truly Australian classic.

world. From falling in love to quarrels about fish balls, it’s a funny and moving journey in a changing 20th century London. Premiering to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013, this is a true story of love that will stay with you long after the final words are spoken.

KellyNed Kelly sits in his prison cell, a wounded beast in a cage, defiant till the end. A priest enters to give him his last rites and it is revealed to be Dan, Ned’s younger brother, believed burnt to death at Glenrowan. Facing the sins of their past, each blames the other for their downfall and neither will escape unharmed. This makes for a brilliantly charged premise, beautifully staged and weaving
