Elegant Port Royal estates are positioned on lush, tropical lots fronting banyan-lined streets. Developed in 1939 by Chicago advertising genius John Glen Sample, Port Royal homes have panoramic water views and prestigious addresses such as Galleon Drive and Rum Row. Sample, who was fascinated with the pirate stories of a Jamaican village, bought swamplands and beachfront property to style the Port Royal neighborhood where he would approve each homeowner, as well as each home plan. Later, Aqualane Shores was situated north of Port Royal, providing boaters with similarly exclusive addresses, as well as short walks to the restaurants and shops on Third Street South in Old Naples.
