August 14th, 2011 “My house will be called a house of prayer

for all Nations” Isaiah 56:7

BCCC

Requests: > Pray for VBS this year to be a success and for God to use it as a powerful ministry to the children in the local community.

> Pray for Katharine Kopsaftis as she steps into the role of our church secretary. Pray that it will be a smooth transition for her and that God will use her in this role.

> Pray for church members who are currently away on vacation. Pray that they will enjoy their time spent together and for their safety.

BCCC MISSIONARIES

Requests: > Pray for Abe & Diane Bible, missionaries serving in the Ukraine & Russia. Praise God for Sergei in his national CBLT role. Pray for wisdom and God’s direction in decisions which still need to be finalized. Pray for strength, wisdom, and renewal for the Bibles during the busy times over the next few months.

CANADA/WORLDWIDE

Requests: > Pray for those in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti who desperately need nourishment due to a massive drought (the worst in 60 years) in the Horn of Africa. Famine has stricken the war torn parts of Somalia and is quickly expected to spread across all regions of the south in the coming four to six weeks. By their estimates, the famine is likely to persist until at least December 2011. Urgent help and prayer is needed. Pray for God to intervene in a powerful way and provide for the people of Eastern Africa.

> Pray for those injured and those who have lost loved ones to the recent attack in Oslo, Norway. Pray that the police will be able to track down those who were responsible. Pray for God’s comfort and protection over the Norwegian people at this time.
