in platoon, company and battalion command vehicles, depending on the army BMS network concept.

vehIcLe coNcePT• The hull is designed to provide comfortable space to 3+10

crew with personal equipment and weapons. The space is designed in accordance with MIL-STD 1472

• The armoured vehicle with the installed power pack and suspension system provides excellent driving features on and off roads.

• The hull has a modular concept of ballistic protection. The hull is made of several layers of armoured steel, and is additionally protected with ballistic sandwich materials. Mine threats are fought against with a double-layer floor in the crew area.

• Armoured cabin provides exceptional view from the vehicle and fast crew response on seeing a target; it is fully armoured.

• Two doors in the rear part of the hull and two on the side, as well as a well-designed crew layout, allow rapid embarkation/disembarkation of the crew. During embarkation, side doors protect the crew from fire.

• Oscillating, foldable seats in combination with improved independent suspension absorb all shocks and vibrations, thus increasing crew comfortability even in the harshest off-road conditions.

• The original design concept of the vehicle is a solution that meets all combat requirements, both in urban and rural environments, which is achieved with good mobility, fire power, ballistic and anti-mine protection.

• The modular concept of the vehicle offers the possibility of integration of a wide range of armament system solutions, including light turrets or RCWSs armed with .50 cal. HMGs, or 20mm and 30mm automatic cannons with modern

optoelectronic FCSs. • All the crew have superb possibility of observing the

surroundings through armoured windows with a high level of ballistic protection.

• The hull is designed so as to allow fast and easy fitting and replacement of add-on armour elements, as well as some of the advanced active protection systems.

• All the main assemblies: power pack components; steering components; power pack; electric system components; hydraulic-pneumatic system components; armament; can be replaced in the field in a very short time.

• All the vehicle systems can operate in the temperature interval of -30(C to +60(C.

• Large crew space (ca. 16,5 m2) and oscillating seats provide for increased comfortability during long rides.

• The armoured vehicle Lazar offers optimum environmental conditions for the crew during a ride.

LAZAR II 8x8 MRAv/MRAP MuLTI-RoLe ARMouRed vehIcLe

The LAZAR II 8x8 Multi-Purpose Armoured Vehicle concept is a combination of the most important features of MRAV (Multi-Role Armoured Vehicle) and some tactically important characteristics of the MRAP concept.

The concept and technical solutions of LAZAR II respond to the general requirements of modern infantry units engaged in a wide range of modern medium-level armed conflicts, as well as in asymmetric warfare, anti-terrorist and peacekeeping actions. As in the case of LAZAR I, special emphasis is again placed on vehicle actions in urban conditions, inhabited areas and intersected terrain, against an enemy extensively using ambushes, anti-tank (AT) mines, improvised explosives devices (IED), etc.
