What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Bauer Media group When doing my research I looked at Bauer media group as an institution that could possible distribute my music magazine. After completing my magazine I think Bauer media group would be a perfect institution to distribute my pop music magazine.

Background information because they manage a portfolio of more than 600 magazines, over 400 digital products and

50 radio and TV stations around the world. Bauer media group have a total reach of just under 50% of the population from 16 countries. 25 of Bauer’s magazines are in the worlds top 100 best selling magazines.

Why Bauer Much of their portfolio of more than 600 magazines, over 400 digital products and 50 radio and TV stationsare within the music industry, they own many well known radio stations, such as Kiss FM, and Magic also they own 50% of Box television, which produces several other music channels, such as 4 music, The Box, and Kiss. Furthermore they produce two very popular music magazines Q and Kerrang. Having such great experience in the music industry would mean my magazine really fits in.

meaning the magazine would

hopefully achieve high sales figures.

also 25 of Bauer’s magazines being in the worlds top 100 best selling magazines shows that Bauer are distributing their magazine to the right countries and places, meaning they would know the best places to distribute my magazine.

Bauer don’t currently distribute a magazine with the genre of just pop music, although Q is

similar as it looks at music in the charts, which consists mostly of pop music it does contain a

variety of music genres, which may put people off buying the magazine if they only want articles

on pop music. Therefore I think my Pop music magazine will make a brilliant addition to Bauer’s

expanding portfolio, as it will really fit in as they cater for people who like pop music with their

Music channels, and radio stations, but not yet with their magazines.
