Core Standards & Objectives

BU03.01 EXPLAIN what personal characteristics and skills needed for a successful entrepreneur. Objectives: Students know what personal skills and character traits that successful entrepreneurs possess. Students know what beginning steps to take to become a successful entrepreneur. Students know that electrical charges can result in attraction, repulsion or electrical discharge.

BU03.02 EXPLAIN the importance of having entrepreneurs and what role they play in society. Objectives: Students know the importance of entrepreneurship in our society and economy. Students know famous domestic and international entrepreneurs around the globe. Students know the advantages and disadvantages of becoming an entrepreneur.

BU01.02 RECOGNIZE the main types of business organization: sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, and joint-venture.

Objectives: Students know basic types of business organizations. Students know the advantages and disadvantages of establishing each business organization. Students know the requirements and risk involved with each individual business organization.

Assessment

Exit Slips -- Each student will be given a ticket to complete before leaving the room answering: What is the most important thing I learned today? What questions do I still have?

Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down -- Students communicate their level of understanding to teacher using their fingers

Micro Managing – Teacher will walk around the classroom looking over the shoulder of the students to observe their progress as well as ask if they are in need of any assistance.

Pre-Test – Teacher will see about prior knowledge and how much students have learned in the area of thus far
