Welcome to the War! • When a person receives a

prophecy it is the beginning of warring, praying,

changing, adjusting and being propelled forward into

destiny.

• How one receives a prophecy is most important.

• The proper posture is not to just sit back and see what

happens.

• Upon receiving a prophecy it is time to become active.

Page 3: What do we do with this prophecy

You Have Only Just BegunThere is a "proceeding

word from God."  A proceeding word is a

particular type of “rhema” word, that is, a “quickened”, fresh spoken word from the

Holy Spirit. There is also the biblical

principle of "growth and development."

But before we get to those factors, lets look at some of the active steps involved in seeing ones prophecy come

to pass.

Page 4: What do we do with this prophecy

Why the Proceeding Word from God?

• There comes a day when we begin to come into the

responsibilities of “sonship”. • We have grown up in the family

of believers but it is now time to “get a job”, to be

“employed” in the Kingdom of God, to begin to fulfill our calling by doing the works prepared for us from the foundation of the world.

• This is when the Holy Spirit brings to us a proceeding word that takes us into our work in

the Kingdom.

Page 5: What do we do with this prophecy

Characteristics of the Proceeding Word

• There are three primary characteristics of a proceeding word:

• 1. it is always deposited in us before it is confirmed by

others;• 2. it is always directional in

its scope and nature;• 3. it is always dependent upon the power of the Lord

for it to be done.• The result is that it always

moves you toward the fulfillment of your destiny in

the Lord.

When: A Proceeding Word• A proceeding word comes

as our preparation process reaches a point where we can be trusted by God to be obedient to His word and walk in the power of

the Spirit.

• Our character has made progress toward becoming more like Jesus and we are able to be used by the Lord

without becoming lifted up in pride.

The Example of MosesThe Scriptures make it clear that Moses had

within him a sense of His purpose and calling—that he was to be a deliverer of

the people of God from the oppression of Egypt. Remember, Moses was

not a heathen. He was one of the people

of God even though he had been raised in

Pharaoh‘ court.

Page 8: What do we do with this prophecy

Acts 7:22‐25 NASB(22) "Moses was educated in

all the learning of the Egyptians, and he was a man of

power in words and deeds. (23) "But when he was

approaching the age of forty, it entered his mind to visit his brethren, the sons of Israel.

(24) "And when he saw one of them being treated unjustly, he

defended him and took vengeance for the oppressed

by striking down the Egyptian.(25) "And he supposed that his brethren understood that God was granting them deliverance through him, but they did not

understand.

Fulfilling DestinyMoses' real problems started

when he tried to enter into his destiny by his natural

understanding and the arm of the flesh.

He acted on what had been deposited in his heart by God; but his actions arose from his

natural strength and not by the direction and power of God.

He also supposed that others of the people of God would

understand his calling and destiny. Of course, they didn't

understand.

Page 10: What do we do with this prophecy

Fulfilling DestinyYou cannot fulfill your God given

destiny through the flesh.

When Moses attempted to fulfill his calling without a proceeding

word from God, it created a set of circumstances that forced Moses

to flee. He then entered into a forty year preparation time

herding sheep on the backside of the desert.

(Notice that his Egyptian education, the finest that the world had to offer, did not prepare him to enter into his

calling.)

Page 11: What do we do with this prophecy

Acts 7:30‐35 NASB(30) "After forty years had

passed, AN ANGEL APPEARED TO HIM IN THE WILDERNESS OF MOUNT Sinai, IN THE FLAME OF A

BURNING THORN BUSH.(31) "When Moses saw it, he

marveled at the sight; and as he approached to look more closely, there came the voice of the Lord:(32) 'I

AM THE GOD OF YOUR FATHERS, THE GOD OF

ABRAHAM AND ISAAC AND JACOB.' Moses shook with fear and would not venture

to look.

Page 12: What do we do with this prophecy

Acts 7:30‐35 NASB(33) "BUT THE LORD SAID TO HIM, 'TAKE OFF THE SANDALS

FROM YOUR FEET, FOR THE PLACE ON WHICH YOU ARE

STANDING IS HOLY GROUND.(34) 'I HAVE CERTAINLY SEEN THE

OPPRESSION OF MY PEOPLE IN EGYPT AND HAVE HEARD THEIR

GROANS, AND I HAVE COME DOWN TO RESCUE THEM; COME NOW, AND I WILL SEND YOU TO EGYPT.'(35) "This Moses whom they disowned, saying, 'WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND A

JUDGE?' is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the

angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush.

Covenant PrerequisitesExodus 4:25‐26 NASB

A proceeding word does not excuse us from the

requirements of the covenant of God:

circumcision of the flesh for Moses' son and

circumcision of the heart for us.

The Lord will not allow us to complete our destiny even

after He gives us a proceeding word if we are

neglecting the prerequisites of the covenant.

What About YOU!

There are a number of people that have been hidden by God on the backside of a desert just like Moses. These are people with a

destiny in God, a powerful call of the Lord, who are being prepared to receive a proceeding word.

The time is upon us. I believe that the Lord is about to bring to us clear proceeding words that relate to His purposes for the

end times. Get ready to move into your destiny.

Page 15: What do we do with this prophecy

What About YOU!I don't mean that this is

something you will hear from some pompous prophet who

blows into town for a few days and prophesies a bunch of feel

good words over everybody.

The call of God, your destiny, is already in you.

The Holy Spirit is about to anointit and release it for fulfillment.

Others will only confirm what you already know in your heart

to be your purpose.

Page 16: What do we do with this prophecy

What About YOU!• Look for the unusual thing as

you go about your routine and don't pass by your burning bush without

noticing it. • You will only receive your

proceeding word when you turn aside from your normal day to day affairs in order to

hear the Lord. • And for your own sake, don't

frustrate the call of God by neglecting any covenant prerequisites for you and

your family.

Page 17: What do we do with this prophecy

WRITE IT OUTThe first active step would be to follow the scriptural principle of writing out or typing out your prophecy.

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon

tables, that he may run that readeth it (Habakuk 2:2).

• We must write out words from God so that we may

have an accurate account of His word to us.

Page 18: What do we do with this prophecy

Write It Down & Keep Records Daniel read Jeremiah's Books to pray

Daniel 9:2‐3 KJV

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy

years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and

supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

If you do not keep historical records you are bound to make the same

mistakes

Prophetic Word Vs. ProphecyGift of Prophecy vs. the Office

of the Prophet.Simple gift of prophecy has no

revelation in it. it edifies, exhorts and comforts.

A prophet would have more gift of the spirit in operation

than just the gift of prophecy. He would have revelation gifts

along with prophecy.New testament example of

Gift of Prophecy (Acts 21:8,9) – Daughters who Prophecy.New testament example of the prophet’s ministry (Act

21:10, 11) – Agabus the Prophet

Prophetic Word Vs. ProphecyPRECISION

Precision of the prophetic that is the main difference

between prophecy and prophets.

Jonah 3:4 KJV And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be

overthrown. We have not been a precise

people we have had too many vague prophecy but precision

and accuracy is vital at this time

Page 21: What do we do with this prophecy

TYPESMany prophecies contain

types or pictures of an idea that God desires to

communicate. Since "a picture paints a thousand words" and a

picture is less likely to be forgotten than a mass of words, the meaning of

types and pictures is quite significant and could very likely hold the key to the

interpretation of a prophecy.

Page 22: What do we do with this prophecy

TYPESPrinciple:

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the

honour of kings is to search out a matter (Prov 25:2).

Since Rev 1:6 describes us as "kings and priests" then God must intend for us to "search out" the hidden

meanings of our prophecies.

If God has told us to search them out, then they can be

found. (Cf. 1Co 2:10).

War A Good Warfare

• One of the factors in prophecy that really stands out in my mind was when Paul told Timothy,

• "This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;" (1Timothy 1:18). • The only kind of warfare I am interested in is "good warfare." "Good warfare" is warfare that we win! Good

warfare is fought with our prophecies.

Page 24: What do we do with this prophecy

War a Good Warfare

War a good warfare in other words to help

defeat the enemy to stand your ground.

1 Timothy 6:12 KJV

(12)  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on

eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many

witnesses.

Page 25: What do we do with this prophecy

NEXT?Some folks are

probably asking, "How on earth do I

fight with a prophecy?"

The answer is in(1.) Speaking that prophecy and

(2.) Praying that prophecy.

Page 26: What do we do with this prophecy

Speak Your ProphecyHebrews 3:1 KJVWherefore, holy

brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ

Jesus;Jesus is the High

Priest of our words. He is the high Priest of our Confession.

Page 27: What do we do with this prophecy

Speak Your ProphecyWhen we speak forth the Word of God in faith, we know He is watching over His Word to Perform it.

He gives us His Word to speak.

He tells us what to say in order for us to succeed.

You can’t have faith based outside of the Word of God.

We are afraid to speak because of cultural issues

Page 28: What do we do with this prophecy

Speak Your ProphecyNumbers 14:26‐28 KJV

How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the

children of Israel, which they murmur against me.Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:God hears not only what

we say in prayer!

Page 29: What do we do with this prophecy

Speak Your Prophecy• Whenever satan attacks

with discouragement or whenever you feel like

giving up because of what seems to you to be delay, simply begin proclaiming

into the atmosphere what God has spoken to you.

• It is Easy to tell Nigeria’s problems and woes

• Very few know the solution or even God’s

original Prophetic Destiny for our nation

Page 30: What do we do with this prophecy

Pray Your Prophecy

• Many times when we pray we tend to pray the problem rather than the solution.

• That simply becomes a gripe session to God rather than a calling out to God in faith.

One of the most discouraging matters to deal with in looking for the fulfillment of a prophecy is what we

believe is a delay of time.

Page 31: What do we do with this prophecy

Pray Your Prophecy

• In several places the Bible speaks of "suddenlies.“ But if we look at the stories carefully I believe we will notice that God was wisely taking time to move people and

circumstances into position for the "suddenly" to explode into manifestation.

• During the developing period (which matures and preps us to actually walk in those things the prophecy spoke of) we maintain a posture of faith by praying the elements of

the prophecy back to God.

Page 32: What do we do with this prophecy

Pray Your Prophecy• Pray the harvest we pray

too much about what we do not want instead of what we want, against

corruption rather than for Integrity, against poverty instead of for prosperity.

• Pray for the soil and the harvest not the seed the seed is the word of God

(Men are seed too)• Pray for and towards

your destiny
