Choosing a stark, white runway as the backdrop, Alberta Ferretti paraded body-tracing silhouettes struck with knitted textures and translucent panels. Gorgeous dresses slashed with fine geometric cut-outs tempted in pure white, teal and electric blue. Pleated skirts and trenches added classic touches, while lacy pieces smouldered in verdant green and daring shades of crimson.

easy-to-wear repertoire with sporty nuances. Track pants dazzled in electric blue, slinky dresses draped in slate grey and cool, racer-back shifts radiated in lemon yellow. Izumi Ogino also incorporated ultra-feminine pieces into the collection, with silky, geometric-print frocks and tantalizing, transparent skirts.

Old world charm took to the runway at Antonio Marras in layers of
panels graced dresses and pretty wraps encircled waists. Enriching the collections prim, retro feel, shoulder flaps and high necklines cultivated a restricted look that was aptly counterbalanced by sheer pleats, black sequins and bandeau tops.

For the coming season, Robert Raimondi and Tommaso Aquilano focussed on pattern and shape to create fabulous, structured pieces. Cap sleeves puffed out in pleats and skirts belled below the waist.

With Fredrika Stahl’s spirited ‘She & I’ as the backing track, the Blugirl show opened with elegant ensembles, replete with dapper coats and ribboned fedoras. A brilliant array of girly images followed,

As Latin American music drummed the ether, the runway at Blumarine ricocheted with vibrant splotches of colour and tropical prints. Gathered skirts and dresses fanned out from the waist, while snug tops were pushed from the shoulders or wrapped about the torso. The islander aesthetic flourished with striking fringing that trimmed bodices, circled hems and enveloped everything from high heels to clutches and totes.

Bottega Veneta’s latest offering bristled with colour and originality. Emerald green and electric blue corsetry was followed by indigo, leather-trim dresses and sheaths wrought from twists of lollipop

Drawing inspiration from the life of Isabella Blow, Manuel Facchini moulded a collection of striking contrasts. Isabella’s public life was
stiff, gold skirts and stonking platforms. To capture his vision of Isabella’s private life, Facchini crafted new, romantic images with languid, toga-styled gowns and strapless diva dresses.

Colourful shards whirled in the background at CNC, as models with attitude strode down a carpeted runway wearing pared-down separates with a sassy edge. The minimalist cuts, block colours
was reinforced by shiny, lace-up shoes and stiff-collared shirts. By contrast, translucent fabrics, shimmering silks and body-gripping

Along the darkened runway at D&G, a brilliant, patchwork backdrop shed light on a collection awash with fabulous, silky prints. While Prince’s ‘Kiss’ pumped the air, models paraded a kaleidoscope of colourful curlicues and heraldic images moulded into wrap dresses, boxy shorts, pretty halter necks and swirling skirts. Completing the saturated look, heady patterns wrapped about clutches and stole across cool, silky platforms.
