The Government retains the right to effect any re-pairs to the improvements which may be found neces-sary at the expiration or sooner determination of thelease, and to recover the cost of the same from thelessee by the process of law.

Conditions.(a.) The Government does not guarantee Agricultural

Bank advances, nor the construction of a railway line to


serve these locations.(b.) Subject to the Government retaining the right

to resume for railway or other public purposes any land,and no compensation to be given, except for the value ofany improvements so resumed.

THE Government Printer is prepared to accept sub-scriptions from Solicitors and others who desire toobtain not only a bound copy of the local Statutes whenprinted and published, but also advance copies of eachAct as passed. Every application should be accompaniedby a cheque for £1 ls., for which subscribers will re-ceive from the Government Printer

(a) A copy of each Act assented to, as soon asprinted.

(b) A quarter-bound edition of the sessional volwhen issued.

THE GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.The Government Gazette is published on Friday in

each week, unless otherwise interfered with by PublicHolidays or other unforeseen circumstances.

SUBSCRIPTIONS. The Subscription to the"Government Gazette" is as follows:-30s. perannum, 17s. 6d. per half year, and 10s. per quarter,including postage. Single copies 9d.; previousyears, up to ten years ls. 6d., over ten years 2s. 6d.;Postage ld. extra.

Subscriptions are required to commence and terminatewith a month.

Advertisements: Notices for insertion must be re-ceived by the Government Printer before Ten o'clockon the 'day preceding the day of publication, and arecharged at the following rates:

and half-price for each subsequent insertion.To estimate the cost of an advertisement, count nine
