A MAY DAY MESSAGE
Greetings of the May:
On behalf of the West Vancouver May Day Society may I extend
to you a hearty welcome on this our 40th Annual Victoria Day Celebration.
Originally the annual celebration of the birthday of Queen
Victoria, May Day today is more than that. Children and adults alike from all
parts of our community welcome the arrival of the Spring Season through varied
sports events, traditional dancing, and the crowning of the May Queen.
I hereby wish to dedicate this very special Day not only to our
1969 Queen of the May, Marilynne Vince, but also to all the children of West
Vancouver.
Sincerely Yours,
John G. Hayes
President
West Vancouver May Day Society
