Prerequisites strictly enforced

2 to 3 hours homework per week for each

credit hour

Full-time status requires minimum 12 credit hrs.

12-18 credits same tuition cost

30 earned hours required for:

Sophomore rank

Enrollment in 2000-level Business courses

Continuation of selected scholarships (27 hrs)

Four-year plan requires 14-16 hrs/semester – 30+ hours per year

Academic Standards/ExpectationsPage 8 in your booklet

ACADEMIC SUSPENSION: Students may be

suspended from UT whenever they fail to maintain

the required cumulative GPA as outlined below.

20-29 semester hours less than 1.5

30-39 semester hours less than 1.7

40-49 semester hours less than 1.8

50-59 semester hours less than 1.9

60+ semester hours less than 2.0

lack of attendance. My reason for not attending was that I

didn’t have the freedom in all the years of

schooling that I had in college.”

Academic Standards/Expectations

PRESIDENT’S LIST: earning a 4.0 GPA will be recognized by

the President’s Office and a notation will appear on the student’s

transcript. (12 or more quality hours, graded A through F)

DEAN’S LIST: earning a 3.5 or above GPA will be recognized

by the College Dean’s Office and a notation will appear on the

student’s transcript. (12 or more quality hours, graded A - F)

GRADUATION WITH HONORS: These higher education GPA

averages and the citation they merit on the student’s degree are

as follows:

COBI Success Stories

• COBI’s Pi Sigma Epsilon Professional Business Fraternity (PSE), won

a Chapter Sustained Excellence Award (one of six in the nation) at the

20160 National Convention in Milwaukee. A COBI sales student

claimed first place in their National Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon as well as Top

Salesperson of the Day, another was named a National Finalist. UT

COBI also won second place in Top Management Team, third place in

the case competition, fourth place for the chapter’s recruiting efforts

and finalists in the Marketing Research Challenge, etc.

• The COBI Chapter of the American Marketing Association was recently

recognized as a Top25 chapter in the world at a New Orleans

convention. With over 350 AMA chapters reporting, it is a tremendous

accomplishment for the students to be recognized with this accolade.

• The COBI team won the First Place Trophy for their Case Solution, and

then sweetened their success by also winning the Best Overall

Champion Award, Project and Case for 2016, the highest honor

presented at the Information Systems Ball State Univ. competition. This

is the 6th year UT has placed.
