Reflections on the Gospel

As we say GoodBye to Father Peter, let’s take a look at where he is going from here.

Patron of our Wilton Parish, pray for us!

June 24th

To the right, is Father’s assigned Parish church, The Immaculate Concep-tion of Mary, located in a village in India about 25 miles from his home. Angels are on the pillars.

To the left, is the view from the front of the church, looking out into the street, past the angels on the pillars.

To the right, is the side view of the little church where Father Peter will be pastor and shepherd to a new flock. Father would like to have this church repainted at some time.

To the left, is the interior of Father Peter’s new parish church, where he will be celebrating Masses. The Mother Mary Statue is placed on a chair to the right of the altar. There are no pews in the church, so people stand and sit on the floor during Mass. The words seen above the altar and cross are the words of Jesus: “I gave Myself to you.”

To the right, is the Rectory, where Father will stay, when he’s not visit-ing at his home. He will transport on his motorbike, but he’s hoping to someday purchase a car.

This Sunday we celebrate The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Chr isti). Let’s reflect on the Greatest Gift of All, Christ’s Gift of Himself to us! Thank You Jesus, for Lov-ing Us So Much!!Monday, June 24th, we remember the Birth of St. John the Baptist, the only Bir th celebrated by the Church besides Jesus and Mary. All other Blesseds and Saints are remembered on or near their Death Date. St. John the Baptist, pray for us!Friday, June 28th, is the Feast of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This Feast Day always falls 19 days after Pentecost, on a Friday and brings to mind all the attributes of His Divine Heart! Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!Saturday, June 29th, the Church remembers Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles. St. Peter was appointed as the First Pope by Jesus, and St. Paul is one of the best, wellknown Converts in Church History and a Major New Testament Writer of the Bi-ble. St. Peter and St. Paul, pray for us!Another Inspiring Short Story: Today a 7 AM, I woke up feeling ill, but decided I needed the money, so I went into work. At 3 PM I got laid off. On my drive home I got a flat tire. When I went into the trunk for the spare, it was flat too. A man in a BMW pulled over and gave me a ride. We chatted. And, then he offered me a job. I start tomorrow.More Church Signs: When you throw mud at someone, you lose ground. If you are more fortunate than others, build a longer table, not a taller fence.Lord, help us to be the people our dogs think we are.Bulletin Blooper: Ladies, don’t forget the rummage sale. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.Have a Great Summer!God Bless Our Families!~ Dianne Hansen, CRE

ST. PATRICK

St. Patrick’s Parish Social will NOT be held on June 30th, instead we encourage everyone to attend the Dairy Breakfast being held at the park that Sunday. The Parish Social will resume July 28th. Thanks!

Beth Kolodzinski’s Greenhouse Class have planted the flower pots outside at St. Patrick’s. Now we need to keep them growing through the summer. Could your family sign up to water for one week? It would need to be done 2 or 3 times a week, depend-ing on how hot it is and rain amounts. There is a cal-endar in the gathering room to sign up on. Thank you!

Also, the phone in the kitchen at St. Patrick’s is going to be discontinued, since everyone has cell phones.
